Three Drivers from Tahoma High School First Time On Drag Strip

Friday, June 7th Pacific Raceways once again was the “Place to Race” for the High School drivers to try their skills on the quarter mile.  There was a great showing of the High Schools from in and around the Puget Sound area.  Tahoma High was represented by three young drivers, two of the drivers were Sophomores’, and one young lady was competing in the Alumni Class as she had graduated last year.

All three of them had one thing in common and that was this was their first time on a drag strip.  Top photo above in her 2013 Ford Taurus was Kaydence McCluskey.  Kaydence had another first as she joined the 100 MPH Club.  She currently is employed as a security dispatcher at Bellevue Square.  In his 2006 VW Beetle (bottom right) was Mack Woodward.  Mack is currently in the process of building a “56 GMC for the race next year.  After he graduates, he would like to become an engine builder and work on a Top Fuel car.  Daniel Monaghan was competing in his 1995 Ford F150 truck (bottom left).  Daniels studies include auto and welding.  What he wants to do after graduation is to get into tree work.  Best of everything for all of them.  For more information on the 2024 Racing Season, check out www.pacificraceways.com
