Black Diamond Police Reports

On 04/27/2024, at approximately 17:48 hours, officers were dispatched to the 33200 block of Crystal AVE SE for a harassment report. Officers contacted the reporting party, who advised that around midnight on 04/24/2024, a known subject arrived at her residence and made strange requests to come into/stay at the residence. After speaking with the reporting party, officers determined that no crime occurred. Officers advised the reporting party how to obtain a civil protection order and how to request vacation house checks on the residence.

On 04/27/2024, at approximately 22:12 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop at the 22700 block of Roberts DR. Officers discovered that the driver of the vehicle had a license that was Suspended/Revoked 3rd Degree. The driver was issued a criminal citation for Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree.

On 04/29/2024, Officers were dispatched to the 30700 block of Abrams Ave regarding a physical domestic in progress. A subsequent investigation found a female committed the crimes of Assault 4th Degree DV and Exposing Children to DV. The female was taken into custody and booked into Enumclaw Jail.

On 04/29/2024, Officers were dispatched to the 32800 block of Ash Ave SE regarding a vehicle speeding and following the reporting party. A further investigation found there was conflicting statements and officers determined this case will be forward to the prosecutors office for review.

On 05/01/24, officers were dispatched to a traffic hazard that occurred at the 31300 block of 3rd Ave. Officers were advised by on scene fire personnel, that the traffic hazard was a downed data line. Officers conducted traffic control. PSC was contacted and advised of the incident. The pole owner advised that they would replace the pole on around 05:00-20:00 hours. PSC arrived on scene and removed the traffic hazard.

On 05/01/24, officers received a FLOCK notification that a stolen trailer attached to a black SUV had entered the city at the 30400 block of 3rd Ave. Officers conducted an area check for the vehicle, and located it at the 31500 block of 3rd Ave. The suspect inside of the black SUV, a white male around 5’5” tall wearing a black T-shirt with short red hair and a red beard, briefly exited the vehicle, observed law enforcement personnel, re-entered the vehicle and drove from the scene disregarding officers lights and sirens. Officers did not initiate a pursuit.

On 05/02/24, officers were flagged down at the 30700 block of 3rd Ave regarding a driver that hit a deer nearby. Officers observed the driver’s vehicle had damage to the front end. The driver denied medical aid. Officers followed the driver to the 29500 block of Maple Valley Black Diamond Rd SE where they stated the collision occurred, outside of the City of Black Diamond. The incident occurred within King County’s Jurisdiction they were made aware of the incident, however the driver denied a report being made.

On 05/02/2024, Officers were flagged down by a citizen who reported finding a wallet in the 30700 block of 3rd AVE on the roadway. He provided the wallet to officers, the wallet contained a WA drivers license and credit cards all in the same name as the license. Officers found an address for the owner of the wallet in Maple Valley and successfully returned it to him.

On 05/03/2024, Officers were dispatched to an administrative detail. Algona Police requested Black Diamond Officers confirm a warrant for a subject they were out with. The warrant for failure to appear dwls 3rd and operating a vehicle without ignition interlock was confirmed. Officers from Algona and Black Diamond met in the 12300 block of SE Auburn Black Diamond RD. Black Diamond Officers took custody of the subject, transported, and booked them into the Enumclaw Jail.

On 05/04/2024, Officers responded to the 30400 block of 3rd Avenue reference to a suspicious vehicle. There was a Flock camera hit on a vehicle with a stolen license plate CDL2284 at that location. The vehicle was located and stopped at the 28900 block of Maple Valley Black Diamond Rd SE. Upon investigation, it was found that the above listed plate was not stolen and that the King County Sheriff’s Office entered the stolen plate incorrectly. The actual stolen plate was CDC2284. KCSO was contacted and they advised that the issue would be fixed.
