Last weekend August 28th– September 2nd brought to Pacific Raceways the best of the best bracket cars in Division 6. Seventeen different teams came from in and around the Northwest and Canada for four intense days of drag racing competition. Five hundred plus cars were on hand at” The Place to Race”. For the Pacific Raceways Pirates were the father and son team of Toby and Blake Peterson. Blake Peterson who grew up in Covington drove his “81 Buick Wagon in the Sportsman Class and took the trophy for the Team competition (Top photo). In his ’78 Chevy Malibu competing in the Super Pro Class was his Dad Toby Peterson (Bottom photo). For all those in attendance they saw quite an exciting racing event.
