January 22 to 26, 2025
On 1/22/2025 at 2122 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department responded to a suspicious vehicle near the 22800 block of Se Fir St. It was reported that for the past 20 minutes, a vehicle appeared to be bouncing and was playing loud music. The reporting party stated they were concerned due to recent vehicle break-ins. Officer’s contacted the subjects inside the vehicle and determined one occupant was a nearby resident and nothing suspicious was occurring at this time.

On 1/22/2025 at 1401 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department responded to a physical domestic violence call near the 31100 block of 3rd Avenue. Officer’s were advised the altercation occurred between a mother and the father of her two children. Through investigation, Officer’s determined probable cause existed for assault in the 4th degree, domestic violence. The suspect was arrest and booked into a nearby correctional facility.

On 1/23/2025, an officer was flagged down regarding a collision outside of city limits with a single car on its side in a ditch. The officer responded to the area and located the vehicle in the 37800 block of State Route 169. The officer confirmed no one was injured and provided traffic control until the Washington State Patrol arrived and took over the scene.

On 01/23/2025, officers were dispatched to a recient verbal domestic at the 31100 block of 3rd Ave. Officers were advised that the reporting party reported a possible no order violation between parties. The parties had separated. Officers determined no court order yet existed and no crime had occurred.

On 1/24/2025, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 32200 block of Morgan Drive. The officer found the vehicle registration had expired, and the vehicle’s title was canceled. The driver did not have insurance and had a suspended drivers license. The driver was cited for the violations and released on scene.

On 1/24/2025, an officer responded to the 24300 block of Morgan St for a welfare check. The officer had been requested to check on an elderly subject after their caretaker was committed to the hospital. The officer determined the subject did not meet involuntary committal criteria and they declined to be transported to the hospital.

On 01/24/2025, officers were dispatched to a physical domestic in progress at the 25700 block of Lawson St. Officers responded to the scene and investigated the incident. Officers discovered probable cause existed for the crime of assault 2nd degree DV. Officers arrested and booked the suspect to KCJ.

On 1/24/2025 at 2140 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle near the 31900 block of 3rd Avenue after observing it commit a traffic violation. Officer’s soon discovered the driver had a misdemeanor warrant from a nearby agency and a suspended driver’s license. The driver was booked into a nearby correctional facility and issued a citation for their traffic offense.

On 1/25/2025 at 0432 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was dispatched to a blocking collision near the intersection of Black Diamond Ravensdale Rd SE and 3rd Avenue. Upon locating the vehicle, Officer’s determined the vehicle was in King County’s jurisdiction and the King County Sheriff’s Department arrived on scene shortly after and took over the investigation.

On 01/25/2025, officers discovered found property at the 23700 block of Roberts DR. Officers collected the property and submitted it for safekeeping. Officers contacted the owner and notified them of the location of their found property.

On 01/25/2025, at approximately 23:10 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 31500 block of Lake Sawyer RD SE. Officers discovered that the vehicle’s title had been cancelled and the registration had been suspended. The driver was issued a criminal citation for Suspended Registration and Cancelled Title.

On 1/26/2025 at 0031 hours, Officer’s were dispatched to the 24600 block of Morgan St for a loud music complaint. Officer’s arrived on scene and spoke with the resident of the home where the loud music was coming from. The resident stated that they would turn the music and bass down. Officer’s cleared the call without further incident.

On 1/26/2025 at 0146 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department responded to a recently made threat near the 28900 block of 233rd Avenue SE. It was reported an unknown vehicle blocked the victim in from exiting their driveway and began verbally threatening the victims life. The vehicle soon left and the victim stated the suspects actions were unprovoked and didn’t know who the suspect was. Officer’s were unable to locate the vehicle and suspect at this time. This investigation is ongoing.
