Maple Valley Idol, Jr. returns for 2026, continuing its mission to celebrate and uplift young vocal talent by placing youth performers in leading roles on a professional stage. This beloved program is proudly presented by the Downtown Cultural and Arts District (DCAD), in partnership with Maple Valley Creative Arts Council (MVCAC)and Dace’s Rock ‘n’ More Music Academy (RNM).
Registration for Maple Valley Idol, Jr. opens February 28 at 9:00 a.m., with 40 total audition spots available across two age divisions: Young Stars (ages 8–12): 20 participants and Teen Stars (ages 13–17): 20 participants
Auditions will take place on March 28 at the Maple Valley Creative Arts Center. Following auditions, selected performers will advance along the Grand Finale pathway:
Eight finalists from the Teen Stars division
Seven finalists from the Young Stars division
The Grand Finale will be held on May 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Tahoma Performing Arts Center, offering finalists the opportunity to perform on a large professional stage before a live audience.
Maple Valley Idol, Jr. is designed to build confidence, stage presence, and performance skills while fostering a supportive and celebratory environment for young artists. The program is made possible through the generous support of community partners dedicated to expanding arts access and education for local youth.
