Black Diamond Auto Parts to Close its Doors

Dear Editor,

I wanted to reach out regarding a story idea that may be of interest to your readers.

After serving our community since 1977, Black Diamond Auto Parts will be closing its doors on June 30, 2026. For nearly five decades, the business provided auto parts and support to local residents, repair shops, farmers, and businesses throughout the area.

Owner Dennis Pitzel has operated the business since 2018 and has continued a tradition of customer service and community involvement that began nearly 50 years ago. Over the years, the store became more than just a place to buy parts—it was a gathering place where customers stopped in for advice, conversation, and a cup of coffee.

As one of the area’s longtime locally owned businesses, we thought the closing might be a meaningful story for readers who have memories of the store and the people who worked here through the years.

Dennis would be available for an interview if you are interested. Feel free to call his cell phone @ 253-347-6169 and leave a message if he doesn’t answer. He will call you back.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Rachel Pitzel
