    NOTICE OF DETERMINATION OF NONSIGNIFICANCE 

    The Tahoma School District No. 409 has issued a determination of non-significance (DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) for the following non-project action: 

    Adoption of the Tahoma School District’s 2019-2024 Capital Facilities Plan (“Capital Facilities Plan”) for the purposes of planning for the District’s facilities needs. King County may incorporate the District’s Capital Facilities Plan into the County’s Comprehensive Plan. The Cities of Black Diamond, Covington, and Maple Valley may also incorporate the District’s Capital Facilities Plan into their Comprehensive Plans. 

    After review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the agency, the Tahoma School District has determined this proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. 

    Copies of the DNS are available at no charge from Lori Cloud, Assistant Superintendent, Tahoma School District No. 409, 25720 Maple Valley-Black Diamond Road SE, Maple Valley, WA 98038. The lead agency will not act on this proposal for 14 days from the date of issue. Comments and/or appeals may be submitted by 4:00 p.m., June 25, 2019 to: Lori Cloud, Assistant Superintendent, Tahoma School District No. 409, 25720 Maple Valley-Black Diamond Road SE, Maple Valley, WA 98038.
