WSP Troopers Bring A Silver Alert To A Wonderful Ending

By WSP Trooper Rick Johnson

At approximately 12:53 a.m. on November 28, 2018, Washington State Patrol (WSP)
communications center in Bellevue received multiple 911 calls of a vehicle traveling eastbound in the  westbound lanes of SR 520 near 124th in Bellevue.

Troopers Thomson, Gagnon, Standiford and Gasser responded to the area and at 1:04am were able to get the vehicle stopped near 148th . Troopers ran the license plate and discovered that this vehicle was part of an active Silver Alert issued by Arlington PD on the morning of November 27. The vehicle was a 2016 Subaru  Legacy and the driver was confirmed to be the subject of the Silver Alert Mr. Orville Nash!

Arlington PD arranged for a family member to pick Mr. Nash up at the Bellevue WSP office. Troopers transported Mr. Nash and his vehicle to the office and spent the time they had listening to some awesome stories from Mr. Nash’s prior military service.

The Washington State Patrol is would like to commend these troopers and the citizens that called in for bringing this to a safe and happy reunion. GREAT JOB!
