Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety wishes to inform the community of its intent to put a Fire Benefit Charge (FBC) on the August 1, 2017, ballot for their approval.
A Fire Benefit Charge is a fee that is based on a property’s building size and use. It will replace some taxes paid by residents and businesses for the operation of the fire department.
Because an FBC is a very stable funding platform, it will allow Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety to continue the high level of emergency medical and fire services that the community has come to expect.
