Black Diamond Mayor Carol Benson presented Scott Funston with a Certificate of Appreciation for all his hard work on the City’s BMX Bike Track across from the City Gym.
A Senior at Tahoma High School, Funston volunteered to not only improve and upgrade the BMX track with the addition of a new Pump Track through his “innovative, well designed” track, but he also helped construct it.
Funston, along with Layton Meyers received the City’s Certificate of Appreciation for their outstanding volunteer service with the new Pump Track during the Thursday, September 7, City Council meeting.
