As of August 31, 2018, Mountain View Fire and Rescue will continue to hold the current burn ban in place until further notice. The King County Fire Marshal has also yet to lift the burn ban in King County.
Until further notice, all outdoor burning of yard vegetation waste continues to be prohibited even with a current yard vegetation burn permit.
Recreational fires are permitted but are limited in size and scope as outlined on Mountain View’s Web Page, www.mvfire.org under the burn permit button.
Mountain View will continue to monitor the situation and lift the current burn ban when conditions are appropriate. The ban will not be lifted prior to the King County Fire Marshal lifting the burn ban in the County.
