On Monday, 07/27/2020 officers responded to the 31600 block of 3rd Ave for an attempted burglary report that occurred sometime over the weekend. Officers arrived on scene and observed damage to the back door. There are no suspects at this time.

On 07-27-2020, at approximately 1521 hours, officers responded to the 31100 block of 3rd AVE for a civil standby so a subject could retrieve an item from his impounded vehicle. Officers stood by while the subject retrieved the item an cleared the scene without incident.

On 07-27-2020, at approximately 1810 hours, officers were dispatched to the 22400 block of SE 296th ST for a parking complaint. Officers arrived and cited all vehicle’s parked in the “no parking” signed areas.

On 07-27-2020, Officers were dispatched in regard to an outside agency assistance request. Officers were asked to check a residence in the 25200 block of Kanaskat DR. for a missing juvenile. When Officers arrived, they located the juvenile and a male subject was taken into custody for rape of a child 3rd degree, as well as other additional charges. The male subject was booked into King County Jail and the missing juvenile was transported to a medical facility for evaluation and later released to the custody of CPS. The case has been forwarded to the King County Prosecutor’s Office for filing.

On 07-28-2020, at approximately 08:50 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a theft. Officers were informed that a male subject wanted to report that someone withdrew funds from his bank account without his knowledge or permission. Officers contacted the subject who stated that his bank informed him of the fraud, closed his account and reimbursed the funds that were removed.

On 07-28-2020, at approximately 11:45 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a female who had questions about her tenants she was renting to. Officers called the subject who wanted advice on how to evict two people she was renting a room to at her residence. Officers explained to the subject that she would need to contact a civil attorney. The subject was also provided with information on how to obtain a restraining order from the Regional Justice Center in Kent.

On 07-27-2020, at approximately 1830 hours, officers were flagged down by a citizen that had found a cell phone near the 22500 block of SE 296th ST at the boat launch. The citizen provided officers with the cell phone which was logged into evidence for safekeeping

On 7/29/2020, an Officer was dispatched to a phone report regarding a marine complaint. The complainant stated that an inner tube that was being towed by a boat struck his wife on the head as she was attempting to avoid being struck. At this time there are no leads and this case is inactive.

On 7/30/2020, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 23900 block of Roberts Dr. The driver was arrested for on a warrant out of the City of Kent. He was cited for speeding and booked into the Kent Jail on the warrant without incident.

On 7/30/20202 an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 22000 block of SE Auburn Black Diamond Road. The driver was found to be driving under the influence and was arrested for DUI. The truck, boat trailer, and boat were impounded to Royal Towing.

On 07/30/2020, officers arrested a suspect for DUI in the City of Black Diamond. During this contact, the suspect made credible threats to come to the officer’s house with a firearm. Those threats constituted a violation of law, and the suspect was charged with a felony and later booked into the Regional Justice Center in Kent.

On 7-31-2020, at approximately 1043 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to an animal complaint in the 25500 block of Palmer PL. After arriving on scene officers learned two dogs had escaped from their property and killed a neighbors cat. Black Diamond Officers issued the dog owner a criminal citation for a violation of Black Diamond Municipal Code.

On 7/31/2020 an officer was dispatched to the Black Diamond Elementary School for loud music coming from the basketball court. Contact was made with two subjects playing basketball who agreed to turn down their music.

On Friday, 07/31/2020, Officers contacted a vehicle in the 25100 block of Roberts DR after a passerby reported that a man was unconscious inside the vehicle. Subsequent investigation determined that there was probable cause to arrest the driver for being in Physical Control of a Vehicle Under the Influence. The driver was transported and booked into jail and the vehicle impounded.

ON 8-1-2020, at approximately 0708 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a party complaint at the Diamond Valley Mobile Home Community. Officers arrived on scene and observed no obvious noise. Officers approached the residence and contacted a subject who was playing music from his vehicle preparing to leave. The subject was advised to turn it off and he complied. Officers contacted the tenant at the residence and advised her she is responsible for the noise from their lot and advised her of Black Diamond Municipal Code. She stated she understood and Officers cleared the scene.

On 08/01/2020, the Black Diamond Police Department conducted a traffic stop at the 24000 block of Roberts Dr. The driver was issued a citation for DWLS 3 and traffic infractions for driving with wheels off roadway and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. The driver was also arrested and transported to the King County Jail for an active felony warrant out of Seattle.

On 8/2/2020 officers responded to the 23000 block of SE 312 ST for a report of vehicles parked in a no parking area. Officers checked the area and found the particular area where the vehicles were parking did not have any signs. The residents and officers will be requesting signs are added to fill the gap.

On 08-02-2020, at approximately 1725 hours, officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle near Lake Sawyer RD and Roberts DR. The vehicle initially failed to yield but stopped eventually. The driver was uncooperative, but it was determined shortly after that he was having a diabetic episode. Fire Personnel evaluated the subject and he was cleared to leave with a family member.
