Black Diamond Police Reports from 8-17 to 23-2020

On 08/17/2020, at approximately 0153 hours, an Officer with the Black Diamond Police Department was flagged down by a subject at the 31100 block of 3rd Ave. An investigation concluded that a trespass had taken place at a residence in that area.

On 08-17-2020, at approximately 1530 hours, officers were dispatched to the 25200 block of Park ST regarding a group of subjects spray painting graffiti at the Black Diamond Skate Park. Upon arrival, officers contacted the subjects involved and determined that there was probable cause to cite all three for malicious mischief 3rd degree. The subjects were cited, released, and officers cleared the area without incident.

On 8/18/2020, an officer responded to the 32600 block of 3rd Ave for a report of a counterfeit bill being passed at a business. The investigation is ongoing.

On 8/18/2020, Officers were dispatched to 30400 block of 224th AVE SE regarding a parent that was accidentally locked out of her home by her two year old. The complainant had tried to use a crow bar to open the door but was unsuccessful. Officers arrived to assist but were unable to locate any point of entry. The complainant’s husband returned from work and let her into the house. No force was used by Officers during this incident and no children were harmed.

On 8/19/2020, officers responded to Lake Sawyer for a drowning that was reported. An officer and a Fire Department crew responded on the Police Boat and were able to recover the victim who was transported to shore. The Fire Department attempted to resuscitate the victim but they were unsuccessful.

On 08-19-2020, at approximately 1702, officers responded to the 29020 block of 216th AVE SE for a collision in a parking lot. When officers arrived, they found there to be no injuries. Information was exchanged between drivers and officers completed a collision report.

On Wednesday, 08/19/2020, Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 29000 block of 220th PL SE in regard to a noise complaint. Officers arrived on scene to find a dog barking inside a secured yard. Officers were unable to contact the homeowners and a follow up response has been scheduled to address the incident.

On 08-22-2020, at approximately 2231 hours, officers responded to the area of Hemlock AVE and SE Fir ST regarding an unwanted person(s) call. The reporting party advised that subjects were in the park in the area and had started a campfire without permission. Officers contacted the subjects and advised them of the burn ban being in effect. They extinguished the fire and left the area. Officers cleared the call without incident.

On 08-23-2020, at approximately 1945 hours, officers were dispatched to the 22500 block of SE 296th ST regarding a suspected intoxicated subject in a vehicle. When officers arrived, they located the subject fishing in the area. Due to his intoxication, he was instructed to not drive from the scene. Officers observed the subject leave the area on foot. Officers cleared the call without incident.

On 08-23-2020, at approximately 2021 hours, officers on-viewed a brush/stump fire near the 31000 block of 3rd AVE. Fire personnel responded to the scene and extinguished it. Officers cleared the call without incident.

On 08-23-2020, at approximately 2310 hours, officers were dispatched to the area of the 29000 block of 216th AVE SE regarding a report of gunshots heard. When officers arrived they contacted a subject in the area and determined that the sound of gunshots was only a vehicle backfiring. Officers cleared the call without incident.
