On September 2, 2020 Mayor Carol Benson was sent a letter informing her that The Black Diamond Museum (former railroad depot) has been granted the Black Diamond Landmark Designation. She will need to fill out some paperwork. The Commission’ decision will be formally recorded with the King County Recorder’s Office, and its landmark designation will be reflected in the title to the property.
