The Metropolitan King County Council gave its unanimous approval to appoint Patricia Moss to the board of 4Culture, King County’s cultural development authority.
“Patricia’s dedication to building up the arts in our community makes her a valuable addition to the board,” said King County Council Vice Chair Reagan Dunn. “I am delighted that she will be helping to guide 4Culture’s work advancing arts and culture in King County.”
An artist, educator, and school counselor, Moss has helped develop a growing arts community in Black Diamond, where she resides. Moss founded an art-based non-profit organization that supports and mentors local artists and has worked closely in the art community in and around Black Diamond for 10 years.
“The strength of both individuals and communities are reflected in art and cultural activities,” said Moss. “I am excited to be part of an organization that develops and supports the beautifully diverse and talented artists and cultural organizations of King County.“
4Culture supports multiple types of cultural enhancement programs, including historic preservation, public art, heritage programs, and the arts. Their team elevates a vibrant and diverse group of cultural development efforts that aim to provide cultural experiences to every resident of King County.
Moss’ term on the board will run until December 31, 2023.
