Black Diamond Police Reports from March 15 to 21, 2021

On Monday, 03/15/21 at approximately 0618 hours, Officers responded to the area of the Ten Trails Development, Willow Ave SE & SE Stevens St for a report of a suspicious person walking around looking at houses. Officers did an area check and were unable to locate the subject.

On 03/15/2021, Officers responded to the 29000 block of 216th Ave regarding an unwanted person. The unknown subject was gone prior to the Officers responding.

On 3/16/2021, Officers were in the area of 33000 Cypress AVE SE, when they located an unoccupied dump truck with its headlight, and interior lights on. The truck also had its driver’s door ajar. The truck did not have plates and officers were unable to locate the VIN numbers. Officers turned off the 

lights and cleared the call. At this point it appears that the incident was an oversight.

On 3/17/2021, Officers were dispatched to a road hazard in the 29400 block of 216th AVE SE. Public works responded to the scene and cleared the roadway of the debris.

On 3/20/2021 an officer was in the 27200 block of 216 Ave SE in Maple Valley when they located a vehicle related to crimes that had occurred in Auburn prior. Black Diamond Officers contacted the occupants who were detained for investigation. Auburn Police responded and seized the vehicle for investigation and took custody of one of the subjects.

On 03/20/2021, an Officer was dispatched to a 911 hang-up call in the 32800 block of Glacier Basin LN in Black Diamond. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a 3 year old was playing with the phone and accidentally dialed 911. Both parents were contacted and confirmed that everything was okay in the household and police were not needed.

On 03/20/2021, an Officer was dispatched to the 328000 block of Ash Ave SE reference to a theft. Contact was made with the complainant and a report was completed.

On 3/21/2021, an officer witnessed a traffic violation in the 31100 block of 3rd Ave and stopped the vehicle. The driver had a suspended drivers license and no insurance. The driver was cited and released on scene.

On 03/21/2021, Officers were dispatched to an area of new home construction in the Ten Trails Development in regard to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers contacted the vehicle and a subsequent investigation determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and booked into jail and the vehicle impounded.

On 03/21/2021, an Officer responded to the 21600 block of SE 288th St regarding a suspicious circumstance. A garbage bag containing a dead animal was located and a large amount of oil was also found on the roadway. Public Works was notified.
