Fourth of July weekend was full of racing excitement as the cars of the Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts took on the 2.25-mile ten turn course of Pacific Raceways. Four cars from Maple Valley competed in three of the eight groups of over 170 cars that participated, with the proceeds from the event benefiting the Seattle Children’s Hospital. In Group 2 was Greg Heacock in his 1967 Costin Nathan GT (Upper Left). In Group 3 driving his 1969 Chevrolet Corvette was Chuck Ward (Upper Right).
Then in Group 1 in his 1960 Lotus Mk 19 was Greg Heacock (Bottom Left). Also in Group 1 was Jeff Kerney driving a 1968 Lynx FV (Bottom Right). It was great to be back to all the racing and seeing all the fans once again. Next on the schedule is the IRDC Conference Road Racing Summer Classic on July 16th-18th. Then on Friday July 23rd the “GoodGuys” take to the drag strip for the 33rd Annual Pacific Northwest Nationals.
