Robert Bruce Hipple, Jr. “Rob” Passed Away

Robert Bruce Hipple, Jr ‘Rob’ 59, of Maple Valley, WA, passed away on September 6, 2021 of Covid after a 3-week battle with the illness. 

He was born on December 28, 1961 at John Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the first born to Bob and Sandy Hipple. He was the eldest of 5 children. Rob spent the first 16 years of his life in Rosedale, Maryland where he grew up around many family members.  He was very sports oriented and was always playing football, baseball and basketball. On his down time you could find him shooting hoops in front of his home or in his room listening to music. 

In 1978, his family moved to California where Rob lived until 1982 before reuniting with his family in Maple Valley.

Rob went to Rosedale Elementary School, Golden Ring Jr. High and Overlea High School all in Maryland before graduating from Bassett High School in La Puente, CA in 1980.

Rob married in 1986 and had 3 sons in that marriage whom he loved dearly.

He was an avid collector of Godzilla items. He loved to watch Godzilla movies, the History Channel and Gold Rush. He followed the Seattle Seahawks, Washington Huskies and the Baltimore Ravens as well as many other teams. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved the time he had with his children and grandchildren. 

His three sons, Robby III, Randy of Puyallup, and Jarred of Sumner survive him. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Mason, Tatum and Brooklynn, four siblings, Donna Hayes (Don) of Covington, Michael Hipple of Roy, WA, Rick Hipple (Traci) of Kent, WA and Lori Many of Maple Valley, WA.  As well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, many cousins, one uncle and two aunts and many friends.

He is preceded in death by both his parents. 

Rob was cremated and a memorial will be planned at a later date.
