Black Diamond Police Reports 12-27-21 to 1-2-2022

On 12/27/2021, Officers were dispatched to the 22800 block of SE Fir ST for a suspicious subject walking around buildings under construction. Officers located the subject and identified him. Officers learned the individual was lawfully there working on the buildings. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

on 12/27/2021, an Officer was dispatched to the 24100 block of Roberts Dr reference to an OSA (hit and run) in King County. Upon arrival, neither the vehicle nor owner were located.

On 12/28/2021 Officers responded to a report of theft from mailboxes in the 25000 block of Franklin Dr. A reporting party advised an unknown black SUV took items from mailboxes the prior night and also in the early morning of December 17th. Surveillance footage of the incidents were obtained for evidence.

On 12/29/2021, officers were dispatched to the retention pond located at Ten Trails Parkway and Chestnut Avenue SE for juveniles possibly walking out onto thin ice. An area check was performed with no children found in the area.

On 01/01/2022 Officers stopped a vehicle in the 28900 block of 215th PL SE for a moving violation. Subsequent investigation determined that the driver was under the influence. The driver was arrested and booked into Enumclaw Jail.

On 1/1/2022, Officers were dispatched to a missing child in the 22800 block of SE Fir ST. Officers arrived on scene and located the child in the apartment building. Officers cleared the scene.

On 1/1/2022, Officers were dispatched to the 32300 block of Hammond PL for a theft report. Officers contacted the reporting party who advised two ladders were stolen from his work vehicle on 12/31/21. The reporting party had no suspect information and there were no residential cameras in the area. There are no investigative leads at this time.

On 01/02/2022, Officers were dispatched to a report of suspicious activity. Officers contacted the reporting party by phone. She advised officers she had begun receiving text messages from an unknown individual. The text messages contained family member names and addresses. Officers contacted the unknown individual at his phone number and learned he was from out of state and an online account of his had been hacked. The subject believed the reporting party was responsible for this. Officers concluded the interaction between the reporting party and the subject were due to a misunderstanding and were not criminal in nature.
