This Sunday, May 7 Pacific Raceways will be opening the Quarter Mile drag strip to all High School racers at the 52nd Annual All-High School Drags. This year being presented by Green River College. Along with the different High School drivers and crews being represented, there will once again be the ever popular “Burnout” contest. Ever wonder what it would be like to out run the law? Here’s your chance to find out in the first ever “BEAT THE HEAT” race. You get to go head-to-head against a King County Sheriff. Event prizes for the winners include trophies, college scholarships, the Team trophy, a tool box from Cornwell Tools, and the Winning School Trophy and of course the all-important “bragging rights”. In addition, there will be an Alumni Class for those 25 years and younger to compete in. There will also be a car show and live music.
Spectator tickets are $12 on line, $15 at the gate. Car load up to 5 people is $50. The gates open at 10 AM with racing to 5 PM. What a better way to spend your Sunday afternoon and support your school.
