Organization Sees Auburn’s Options

Lions Club, a national service organization, continues to research the option of forming a club within the City of Black Diamond. They recently decided that those who have signed up so far will first join Auburn Noon Lions while awaiting the efficacy of a more local organization. Auburn, 10 miles northwest of Black Diamond, has what is considered “a very strong Lion Clubs Club.”

It takes five members to form a club branch. Two Black Diamond city council members have joined. Others who need more information can contact extension chairperson Bob Johnson, bobjohnson.centennial@gmail.com

“Go out and spread the word,” Bob has said. “This organization can change your life and well as the life of the Black Diamond community.” They will meet next on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 6:00 pm at Black Diamond Library. Individual community members, business representatives, officers and organizations are all welcome.
