On 03/02/2024, Officers were dispatched to the 32100 block of Sunny Ln regarding a suspicious vehicle. A caller advised there was an unknown color, full size pick up truck driving through the area with a loud muffler. Officers conducted a search of the area. Officers determined the vehicle was no longer in the area and cleared the scene without incident.

A caller advised there was a Dodge Ram Pickup truck driving in the area, possibly looking into vehicles. Officers conducted an area check for the vehicle. Officers determined the vehicle was no longer in the area and cleared the scene without incident.

On 3/2/2024, Officers were dispatched to an animal complaint regarding dogs barking in the 23600 block of Tahoma PL. Officers made contact with the owner of the dogs and advised them of Black Diamond Municipal Code. The subject was receptive to the information and advised she would bring the dogs inside of the home. Officers cleared the scene.

On 3/3/2024 an officer observed a vehicle speeding and passing vehicles in no passing zones. The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle but the vehicle fled in a reckless manner while attempting to elude the police vehicle. The officer discontinued following the vehicle out of safety concerns for oncoming traffic. The vehicle owner was identified and the officer conducted a follow-up investigation to pursue charges against the driver.

On 3/2/2024 at 1947 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was dispatched to an Admin Detail to confirm a No Contact Order for the King County Sheriff’s Department. Officer’s confirmed the order was valid and had a served date and notified KCSO’s data department and faxed over a valid copy as well. Officer’s cleared the scene.

On 03/03/2024, at approximately 02:23 hours, Officers received a notification of an occupied stolen vehicle at 33200 block of Enumclaw Black Diamond RD SE. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle accelerated and failed to stop. Officers did not pursue the vehicle and advised King County of the vehicle. At approximately 02:35 hours, Officers received a second Flock notification on the vehicle at the 29200 block of 216th AVE SE. Officers conducted an area check for the vehicle and were unsuccessful.

On 3/3/2024, Officers were contacted by a local business owner regarding a customer who was unconscious in his vehicle in the 32600 block of 3rd AVE. It was reported the customer was a regular and was behaving normally prior to exiting the business. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the individual. He was identified and officers observed no signs of impairment. Officers cleared the scene.

On 3/3/24 at 1502 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department conducted a traffic stop at the 29900 block of 224th Ave SE with a vehicle after running the license plate through the Law Enforcement Database and discovered the registered owner had a suspended license in the 3rd degree. Upon contact, Officer’s confirmed the driver of the vehicle was in fact the registered owner. Officers cited the driver for driving with a suspended license and cleared the scene.

On 03/04/2024, Officers initiated a traffic stop in the 24100 block of Roberts Dr for an license plate violation. A subsequent investigation found the license plate was not the same as the vehicle it was affixed to. Officers confiscated the license plate and a notice of infraction was issued to the driver.

On 03/04/2024, an Officer was dispatched to an agency assist at the 33400 block of Holly Ave SE. Auburn PD requested that an Officer respond to an address at the above listed location to contact the registered owner of a vehicle found in their jurisdiction. The vehicle had damage to the ignition and was suspected as being stolen. The Officer Responded and contacted the RO and she advised that she sold the vehicle in 2022.

On 03/06/2024, at approximately 22:30 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop near the 29400 block of 216th AVE SE. Officers discovered that the driver’s license was suspended in the 3rd degree. Officers issued the driver a criminal citation for Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree.

On 03-07-24, at approximately 08:47 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding an assist to the Black Diamond Fire Department. Officers were informed that a residence in the 32500 block of 2nd AVE was on fire and the Fire Department was requesting assistance with traffic control. Officers arrived a few minutes later and provided traffic control. Officer’s cleared the scene when the fire was extinguished.

On 03/08/24, officers conducted a traffic stop at the 30900 block of 228th Ave SE. Officers discovered that the driver had an active misdemeanor warrant out of the Enumclaw Police Department. Officers booked the subject into the Enumclaw Police Department without incident.
