On 03/08/24, officers conducted a traffic stop at the 30900 block of 228th Ave SE. Officers discovered that the driver had an active misdemeanor warrant out of the Enumclaw Police Department. Officers booked the subject into the Enumclaw Police Department without incident.

On 03/08/2024, at approximately 04:26 hours, Officers received a Flock notification for an occupied stolen vehicle at the 23000 block of Roberts DR. Officers located the occupied vehicle at the 22800 block of SE Fir ST. Officers detained one male subject and conducted an area check for a second subject associated with the stolen vehicle. Officers discovered that the detained subject had outstanding misdemeanor warrants out of Auburn Police Department. Officers recovered the stolen vehicle and booked the male subject into SCORE Jail on his warrants. Officers were unable to locate the second subject. During this time, Officers were made aware of a possible second stolen vehicle nearby. After an investigation, the second vehicle was towed from the area due to the belief that it was an unreported stolen vehicle. Additional misdemeanor charges were filed for Possession of Stolen Property 3rd Degree and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

On 03/08/2024 Officers were advised that a citizen wanted to turn in ammunition they found at the Lake Sawyer Boat Launch. Officers were given seven empty .308 cartridge cases with the primers removed, one 7.62 mm unfired projectile, and two 9 mm unfired projectiles. The items were entered into evidence for destruction.

On 03/08/2024 Officers were dispatched to a phone report of a potential fraud. Officers contacted the reporting party who stated that a storage unit had been rented using their name. They requested a report for information purposes, and pending the development of any potential suspect information, this case is being placed on inactive status.

On 03/08/2023 at approximately 2217 hours, officers were dispatched to the 32500 block of 3rd Ave in reference to a report of loud music. Officer located a party and contacted the responsible adult on scene. The music was turned down and efforts were made to control the noise coming from the gathering.

On 03/09/2024, Officers were dispatched to the 23000 block of Roberts Dr regarding a suspicious vehicle. A caller advised they passed by a car parked on the sidewalk with a male walking around it. Officers arrived at the location and did not observe a vehicle in the area matching the given description. Officers conducted a check of the area and determined the vehicle was no longer in the city of Black Diamond.

On 03/10/2024, Officers were conducting a routine patrol in the 32100 block of Sunny Ln and located an unsecured fence. Officers contacted the homeowner to advise them of the unsecured fence. Officers later found the area to be clear and determined there was no signs of criminal activity.

On 3/10/24, Officers were dispatched to a paper service in the 21600 block of SE 292nd ST. Officers contacted the reporting party and advised her if she wanted officers to conduct a paper service, she would have to make arrangements at the police department Monday-Friday during business hours. She stated she understood and advised she would do so.

On 3/11/2024, Officers received a notification from the FLOCK system for a stolen vehicle in the 29200 block of 216th AVE SE. Officers responded to the area and conducted an area check. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

On 03/11/2024, an Officer was dispatched to a traffic complaint at the 24200 block of Roberts Dr. Complainant advised that a white Ford car with assigned plate AV01045 was all over the roadway and was last seen traveling northbound on Lake Sawyer Rd. The plate came back to a Chrysler 200. The Officer Responded to the area to search for the vehicle and was unable to locate it.

On 3/11/24 at 1424 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was notified via e-mail that a vehicle affixed with a stolen license plate had entered the city and passed Flock Camera #02 3rd Avenue and Summit DR traveling south and again, 3 minutes later at camera #04 at SR 169 and Plass RD. The initial entry of the stolen plates took place with Milton Police Department on 9/9/2023, both plates stolen. Officers had witnessed the vehicle pass them southbound on 169 at the 37600 block of Enumclaw-Black Diamond RD with the stolen plate affixed to the front of the vehicle. Officer’s shortly lost visual of the vehicle and stopped a similar looking vehicle at the 39700 block of 264th Ave SE in Enumclaw. Once realizing, this vehicle was not the correct one, Officer’s let the driver go and cleared the scene, unable to locate the initial vehicle.

On 3/11/24 at 1819 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle at the 30400 block of 3rd Avenue. Upon running the license plate, Officer’s discovered the plate affixed to the vehicle did not match with the vehicle on the roadway. Officer’s contacted the driver, seized the license plate, and issued an infraction for no insurance and “displaying a license plate or plates on the front or rear of any vehicle that were not issued by the director for the vehicle.”

On 03/11/24, officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle parked at the 32500 block of 2nd Ave. Officers contacted 2 subjects that were inside of the vehicle and determined no criminal activity had occurred.

On 3/11/24 at 2117 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle at the 25800 block of Lawson ST. It was reported there had been a dark sedan parked behind the residence near ST Barbara’s Church for sometime and the homeowner was unsure if there was possible drug activity. Upon contact with the vehicle, the two subjects advised Officer’s that they had gotten their vehicle stuck in the mud and were working on getting it out. The subjects advised Officer’s that PD assistance was not needed and they lived nearby. Officer’s cleared the scene and contacted the reporting party.

On 3/11/24 at 2224 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department conducted a traffic stop with an unlicensed vehicle at the 31900 block of Black Diamond Ravensdale RD SE for speeding. Upon contact, Officer’s found that the driver owned the vehicle but did not properly transfer the title into their name. Officer’s issued a citation for failure to transfer title within 45 days and issued an infraction for no insurance, speeding, and operating a motor vehicle without current and proper registration and plates. Officers cleared the scene.
