Black Diamond Police Reports

On 05/06/2024, at approximately 03:50 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop at the 31300 block of 3rd AVE. Officers discovered that the driver’s license was Suspended/Revoked 3rd Degree. Officers issued the driver a criminal citation for Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree.

On 05/06/2024, an Officer was dispatched to an auto theft report at the 32400 block of Mckay Ln. Upon arrival, it was determined that it was an attempted vehicle theft. There was damage to the vehicle’s ignition and approximately $5.00 was stolen from the center console cup holder.

On 05/06/24, officers were dispatched to a single vehicle collision with unknown injuries at the intersection of SE 292nd ST and 218th AVE SE. Officers responded to the scene, determined that the collision actually occurred at the 21400 block of SE Covington Sawyer Rd, and offered the involved parties medical aid, which was denied. Officers advised the involved driver that the incident occurred outside of the city of Black Diamond and advised them to contact KCSO

On 5/6/2024, Officers were dispatched to an administrative detail. Enumclaw Police requested Black Diamond Officers confirm a warrant for a subject they were in contact with. Officers confirmed the warrant for FTA controlled substance possession, Enumclaw Police then arrested and booked the subject into the Enumclaw Jail.

On 05/06/24, officers were notified by the FLOCK camera system, of a vehicle that bearing a stolen license plate at the 29200 block 216th Ave SE. Officers conducted an area check with negative results.

On 05/07/2024, at approximately 00:39 hours, officers were dispatched to the 30400 block of 3rd AVE for a suspicious person. The reporting party stated that a subject was pounding on the door to his residence. Officers arrived on scene and conducted an area check for the subject. Officers were unable to locate the subject

On 05/07/2024, Officers responded to the 34200 block of Enumclaw Black Diamond Rd SE reference to a welfare check. It was reported that a male was laying on the ground on the side of the road. Upon arrival, the male was located and was transported to the Hospital by Tri-Med.

On 05/07/24, officers were dispatched to the 23300 block of SE Dogwood St regarding a abandoned vehicle. The reporting party advised that the vehicle had not moved for around a week. Officers arrived on scene and observed a white 2016 Chrysler with a missing drivers side window. Officers ran the vehicle’s VIN and did not observe any stolen status, nor any physical evidence indicating that the vehicle had been stolen. Officers placed a 24 hour sticker on the passenger side windshield.

On 05/07/2024, officers observed Mountain View Fire Department vehicles obstructing the roadway of 24100 Roberts DR with their emergency lights activated. Officers then conducted traffic control to assist until the crews were able to disperse.

On 5/8/2024 at 0027 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle at the 30700 block of 3rd Avenue for traveling faster than the 35mph posted speed limit. Upon investigation, Officer’s discovered the driver’s license status was suspended. Officer’s issued a citation for driving with a suspended license and issued an infraction for traveling faster than the posted speed limit.

On 05/08/24, officers were notified by e-mail to take a vehicle prowl report at the 32500 block of Mckay Ln. Officers contacted the reporting party, who advised that loose change had been stolen from the inside of the vehicle and ignition damage had been made. The reporting party advised that they did not wish to assist in criminal prosecution should the suspect be located, and requested that the report be taken for informational purposes only.

On 05/08/2024, officers contacted a warrant subject at the Black Diamond Police Station at 25510 Lawson ST. Officers confirmed the warrant with the Milton Police Department, and transported the subject to SCORE jail where they were booked.

On 05-08-24, at approximately 13:30 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a possible shoplift at the Lake Sawyer Grocery. Officers called the reporting person, who was the employee of the store. Officers were informed that a short black male appeared to be putting items into his pocket.  The employee contacted him and asked him if he was putting candy into his pocket and he stated that he was not.  The male subject then left the store on a bicycle in an unknown direction. The employee wanted the subject trespassed if located. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

On 05/08/2024, officers contacted a subject for a speed violation that occurred at the 31100 block of 3rd ave. Officers discovered that the subjects vehicle had been owned for over 2 years, but the title had never been transferred. Officers issued the subject citations for the violations.

On 05-09-24, at approximately 09:00 hours, Officers were informed that a citizen at the police department wanted to report that a subject sent his juvenile son a threatening text message. Officers contacted the reporting person and were informed that his juvenile son became involved in a verbal dispute at school that led to another juvenile to send a threatening text message to him, along with a photograph of a rifle. This case is under investigation.

On 05-09-24, at approximately 10:30 hours, Officers received a call from the Black Diamond Police Administrative Assistant regarding a subject who wanted to report a suspicious vehicle. Officers contacted the reporting person who stated that sometime between 15:00 and 15:15 hours, his juvenile daughter was dropped off her school bus at her bus stop located at Newcastle DR and Lawson ST. A white van was driving slowly behind her and she became scared and ran home. The driver of the van turned onto an unknown road and there was no communication between the driver and the juvenile. There was not enough information to articulate a potential crime however the caller wanted to make officers aware of the incident.

On 5/9/24 at 2215 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of St Barbara’s Church located at the 32400 block of 6th Avenue. Upon arrival, Officer’s contacted a sedan and motorcycle where both occupants advised Officer’s they were looking for the Green River Gorge. Officer’s advised the parties of the Gorge location and advised the parties the church was closed for the evening. Both parties and Officer’s left.

On 05-10-24, at approximately 08:05 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a female who overdosed in the 32400 block of 1st AVE.  Officer’s arrived with the Black Diamond Fire Department and found the female awake and alert. The female was transported to Auburn General Hospital.

On 05/10/2024 Officers attempted to stop a stolen vehicle in the 21600 block of SE 292nd ST. The vehicle fled from Officers, who did not pursue. While conducting an area check for the vehicle, Officers were dispatched to a single vehicle collision and found the stolen vehicle had driven through a back yard and into a tree. Officers located and detained a person in connection with the incident, that individual was released at the scene and an investigation is ongoing.

On 05/10/2024 at approximately 2327 hours, officers were dispatched to the 32000 block of Morgan Drive, in reference to the noise of several gun shots being fired in the nearby area. Many citizens near by were outside to witness the aurora borealis but did not see or hear anything additional. No damages of injures were reported.

On 05/11/2024 at approximately 0144 hours, officers were dispatched to the 31000 block of 3rd Ave in reference to a disturbance. Dispatch advised a male was on the location trying to retrieve his property. Upon arrival, no crime was reported from either party. The item desired was obtained and the male left the location without incident.

On 5/11/2024, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 23200 block of Roberts Drive. The vehicle continued driving to the 32400 block of Morgan Drive. The officer found the driver was under the influence of alcohol, had a suspended drivers license, and multiple warrants for their arrest. The subject was arrested and booked into Enumclaw Jail for DUI and other offenses.

On 05/11/2024, Officers were dispatched to the 32500 block of Stuart Ave SE reference to unwanted subjects. The complainant advised that there were motorcycles driving up and down the dirt hiking trails behind/east of his residence.  Upon arrival, the area was checked and the motorcycles were not located.

On 05/11/2024 at approximately 2107 hours, officers were dispatched to the 32600 block of 3rd Avenue, in reference to an area check. The reporting party stated approximately 30 minutes prior he was in a minor collision and exchanged information with the other driver. The reporting party stated the other driver may have been impaired by alcohol. Officers checked the area and the residence of the registered owner with no success in making contact with the driver or their vehicle.

On 5/11/2024, Officers were dispatched to a noise complaint in the 32500 block of 3rd AVE. Officers contacted an individual responsible for the gathering at the location and advised her of the noise ordinance, she stated she understood and would resolve the problem. Officers cleared the scene.

On 05/11/2024, at approximately 22:15 hours, officers were dispatched to the 22800 block of SE Fir ST to a verbal domestic dispute in progress. Officers arrived on scene and conducted an investigation. Officers determined that the incident was verbal only and no crime was committed. Officers provided resources and advised the parties to separate for the evening.

On 05/12/2024, at approximately 00:30 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop at the 24400 block of Roberts DR. Officers discovered that the driver had a license that was Suspended/Revoked 3rd Degree. Officers issued the driver a criminal citation for DWLS 3rd Degree.

On 5/12/2024, an officer was flagged down in the 25500 block of Lawson St regarding a subject who crashed their bicycle and left personal property behind. The officer located the subject in a different location and found they were injured. The fire department responded and transported the subject to the emergency room.
