Black Diamond Police Reports

On 05-14-24, at approximately 13:30 hours, Officers met with a female at the Black Diamond Police Department who wanted to report that sometime between 19:30 hours on 05-12-24 and 05:40 hours on 05-14-24, someone opened up her car door to her Hyundai Tuscon that was unlocked and parked in front of her house and stole her purse.  There is no suspect information at this time.

On 5/14/24 an Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that did not have a rear plate and had a fraudulent Georgia temp tag in the rear window. The driver advised his father recently purchased the vehicle and was unaware the temp plate was not valid. The fraudulent tag was removed for destruction.

On 05/15/24, officers were e-mailed regarding a malicious mischief report request. The incident occurred on 05/14/24 at the 31200 block of 3rd Ave. Officers contacted the reporting party, who provided officers with surveillance footage. The suspect from the video was wearing a face covering, and was unable to be identified.

On 05/15/2024 Officers were contacted at the station by an individual who wanted to report an unwanted person near their property outside of town. Officers advised the individual on obtaining a no contact order and advised them that their residence was in the jurisdiction of the King County Sheriffs Department and that they should call 911 if they required emergency response from law enforcement regarding the unwanted person moving forward.

On 05/15/24, officers were dispatched to take an order violation report that occurred at the 23600 block of Tahoma Pl. Officers observed there was a temporary protection order that had not yet been served to the respondent, and no order violation had occurred.

On 5/15/2024, officers responded to the 32200 block of Morgan Drive for a dog that had escaped its yard and its owners were not home. Officers were able to secure the dog back inside its yard.

On 5/15/24 at 2214 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was dispatched to the 33000 block of Eagle Peak Ln. for a verbal domestic. Prior to Officer’s arrival, it was reported by a son that his mother and sister had recently been in an argument and he claimed the mother had threatened to shoot herself with a firearm. Upon Officer’s arrival, it was determined the son did not live in the home and there were no threats made towards the daughter by the mother. Officer’s determined through investigation that the mother was not suicidal and the firearm was never in play. The son left the premises and Officer’s cleared the scene without further issue.

On 5/16/24 at 0517 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was notified that Kirkland Police Department was out with a subject who had a warrant out of the City of Black Diamond. Officer’s advised Kirkland PD dispatch that the warrant was still valid and the subject could be booked. Kirkland direct booked the subject into jail.

On 05/16/24, officers were advised by Black Diamond Police Admin, to conduct a welfare check at the 33300 block of Glacier Ave SE. Officers were advised that a city employee noticed that the home owner had not paid their water bill for several weeks and was concerned for their welfare. Officer contacted the subject via RING audio communication. The subject advised that they were in India with their family and were okay.

On 5/17/24 at 0001 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle at the 24000 block of Roberts DR after observing the vehicle had a different vehicle’s license plate affixed to the rear of it. Officer’s confiscated the mismatch plate and issued an infraction for expired tabs, wrong license plate displayed, no valid operators license with valid ID, and having open containers of alcohol inside the vehicle, explaining the required action. Officer’s cleared the scene and the driver had a licensed driver come pick up the vehicle.

ON 5/17/2024, Officers responded to the 29200 block of 216 AVE SE for a FLOCK camera hit on a reported stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle unoccupied. Officers were able to locate the driver who admitted to driving. The subject was transported to the hospital where he was treated and cleared. The subject was then transported to King County Jail in Seattle and booked. The vehicle was returned to its owner.

On 05/19/2024, an Officer was dispatched to the 29000 block of 222nd PL SE reference to a civil standby. The Officer contacted the complainant and answered her questions. At the complainant’s request the Officer responded to the above listed and spoke with the father of the complainant’s children regarding a civil matter.

On 5/18/2024, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 31000 block of 228th AVE SE. It was determined the driver’s license status was suspended/revoked in the 3rd degree. Officers issued a criminal citation for driving while license suspended in the 3rd degree. The passenger possessed a valid license and agreed to operate the vehicle. Officers cleared the scene.

On 05/18/2024, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 29200 block of 218th PL SE. The driver’s license status was determined to be suspended/revoked in the 3rd degree. The vehicle was not registered to the driver and the driver had no documents proving ownership. The driver was issued a criminal citation for driving while license suspended in the 3rd degree and the vehicle was impounded by Royal Towing.
