On 06/08/2024, Officers located a blocking disabled vehicle on James ST. The vehicle was occupied and the driver was identified. The vehicle had ran out of gas. Officers identified a safe place for the vehicle to be moved out of the roadway and cleared the scene.

On 06/10/2024 Officers were dispatched to the 25200 block of Kanasket DR in regard to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the area. Officers determined the vehicle belonged to construction workers competing a project in the area, and had been contacted previously.

On 06/10/24, officers were notified via the FLOCK camera of a stolen vehicle that had entered the city at the 34000 block of Enumclaw Black Diamond Rd SE. Officers conducted an area check with negative results.

On 06/10/24, officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint at the 32600 block of 3rd Ave. Dispatch provided a description of a vehicle and advised that it was observed driving erratically. Officers conducted an area check and located the vehicle. Officers investigated the incident, but were unable to establish probable cause for the crime of DUI.

On 06/11/2024, Officers received a FLOCK notification for a stolen vehicle in the 34000 block of 3rd AVE. Officers advised dispatch and conducted an area check. While verifying the FLOCK notification Officers learned the vehicle was leaving the city limits at the time the FLOCK system captured an image of the license plate. Officers did not locate the vehicle and cleared the call.

On 06/11/24, officers observed a traffic violation at the 32600 block of Railroad Ave. Officers initiated a traffic stop and contacted the driver. Officers discovered the driver’s license was suspended in the 3rd degree. Officers issued the driver a criminal citation for DWLS 3rd degree and a warning for the traffic violation.

On 6/12/24 at 2008 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was dispatched to a noise complaint near the 30200 block of 234th Avenue SE due to construction, reported by an anonymous reporting party. Upon arriving, Officer’s spoke with a male outside of the dispatched address. The male identified himself as a construction worker for the property but advised Officers he had already packed up for the day and was leaving the premise. Officer’s advised the male of the municipal code and cleared from the scene without further issue.

On 06/13/2024, officers served a subject with an Extreme Risk Protection Order continuance at the 30200 block of 224th Ave SE.

On 06/13/24, officers observed a traffic violation at the 29400 block of 216th Ave SE. Officers initiated a traffic stop and contacted the driver. Officers discovered the driver’s license was suspended in the 3rd degree. Officers issued the driver a citation for DWLS 3rd degree and a for the traffic violations.

On 06/14/2024, Officers were dispatched to a civil issue to be handled by phone. Officers made contact with the complainant who advised her ex-husband had violated the parenting plan. She reported he is required to provide her with the location where he will be while he has their 7 year old daughter. However, he refused to do so. Officers provided a case number to the complainant and advised it was a civil issue. Officers left a voicemail with the father, provided the case number, and advised he could contact the non-emergency line at Valley Communications if he wished to speak with an Officer.

On 06/15/2024, Officers were observing traffic from the 23600 block of Roberts DR when they heard the sound of an engine revving and tires breaking traction West of their location. Officers patrolled westbound and observed a vehicle drifting in the traffic circle at Ten Trails PKWY SE and Roberts DR. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and issued a criminal citation for violation of RCW 46.61.500 Reckless Driving.

On 06/17/2024, an Officer responded to the 25500 block of Lawson Street reference to a fraud report. The complainant advised that another person, used her personal information to obtained insurance for their vehicle. The suspects information was obtained for a follow up investigation. On 06/18/2024, contact was again made with the complainant who advised that she currently did not wish to pursue criminal charges.

On 06/18/2024, an Officer responded to a threats call at the 23600 block of SE Regency St. Complainant advised that a subject was on the property using profane language and requested to have the subject trespassed from the property. The subject was located and was issued a trespass notice.

On 06/18/2024, an Officer was dispatched to the 22800 block of SE Fir St. reference to a welfare check. Complainant, who works for St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, called Dispatch and requested a welfare check on one of the Hospital’s employees who had not shown up for work for 3 days. The Officer was unable to locate the subject at that location. The subject’s driver’s license showed a different address out of Tacoma. The Officer had Dispatch contact LE in that jurisdiction so they could attempt to locate the subject.

On 6/18/24 at 2203 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was dispatched to 30000 block of 224th Avenue SE after being informed that the BDPD Police Boat overhead blue lights were on with no one around. Upon Officer’s arriving, they did not observe any foul play of boat and turned off the overhead lights and switched the power switches off.

On 06/18/24 at approximately 2333 hours, an officer observed a vehicle pull into a parking lot in the 30700 block of 3rd Ave. The driver exited the vehicle and urinated on the ground beside the vehicle. Upon being contacted, circumstances identified led to an investigation and the male driver being placed under arrest for DUI.
