Black Diamond Police Reports Aug. 26 ago 31, 2021

On 7/26/2021, an officer responded to the 32600 block of 3rd Ave for a report of a recklessly driven vehicle. The vehicle left prior to the officer’s arrival. The officer checked the area but was unable to locate the vehicle.

On 7/26/2021, an officer received a phone report of a dispute that occurred in the 22500 block of SE 298 ST between two acquaintances. The officer provided advice on how to handle the situation and to obtain a protection order if necessary.

On 07/27/2021, an Officer was dispatched to a vehicle prowl at the 32400 block of 4th Ave. There was no forced entry into the vehicle and property was stolen from the vehicle’s interior.

On 7/27/2021, a citizen turned in found property found in the 32300 block of 2nd Ave. The officer later determined the property belonged to a nearby residence and was taken during a vehicle prowl. The property was returned to the owner. There are no suspects and the case is inactive.

On 07-28-21, at approximately 07:54 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a residential burglary. Officers were asked to meet with the victim at his residence in the 33000 block of SE Cottonwood ST. When the Officers arrived, the victim stated that he forgot to close his garage door to his residence in the evening of 07-27-21 and when he realized it was still open on 07-28-21 at 06:30 hours, he discovered that two of his Cannondale bicycles were missing. There is no suspect information.

On 07-28-21, at approximately 09:06 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a parking complaint. Officers were advised that a Ten Trails Field Manager called to report that a white Mercedes was parked in the 33200 block of Glacier AVE SE and partially blocking a driveway that construction crews needed to access. Officers arrived and found that the vehicle was no longer there.

On 07-29-21, at approximately 11:30 hours, Officers received a telephone call at the police department from a subject who wanted a welfare check completed on an employee who lived in the 25100 block of Roberts DR. The caller stated that he was the subject’s employer and the subject has not been to work in a number of days. Officers conducted the welfare check and found the subject to be fine. The subject stated that he would call his employer.

On 7/29/2021, Officers were dispatched to a Marine complaint on lake Sawyer. It was reported that a jet ski was speeding prior to 1400 hours and a boat was towing a tube with children without a spotter. Upon arrival, the issue resolved itself.

On 7/29/2021, an officer was dispatched to the area of SE Adams Street and Crystal AVE SE regarding construction semi trucks not stopping at the stop sign. Upon arrival no violations were observed.

On 07/30/2021, officers were contacted by telephone regarding lewd conduct near the 32200 block of Botts DR. Upon investigation, it was learned that a male suspect had ordered food from a delivery service and that upon the delivery driver’s arrival, was found to be nude. The suspect and the victim were interviewed and the suspect was cited for indecent exposure.

On 07/30/2021, officers responded to the 33000 block of Crystal AVE regarding a report of a potential stolen vehicle. It was reported that a vehicle stolen from a dealership was located in that area. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle and contacted those in possession of it. Upon investigation, it was determined that the dealership, which had been recently burglarized, had reported the vehicle stolen in error. Officers advised all parties of the error and cleared the all without incident.

On 07/30/2021, Officer responded to the 29000 block of 216th Ave SE reference to a shoplifting in progress. An investigation was conducted and an arrest was made for theft in the 3rd Degree.

On 07-31-2021, officers responded to the 31500 block of 3rd AVE regarding a recent burglary. when officers arrived, they found that someone had broken a window and made entry into a business. Multiple items were taken. Officers contacted KC AFIS and requested that a team respond to fingerprint the scene. This case is currently under investigation.

On 7/31/2021 an officer was dispatched to a Masonic Lodge for a loud music complaint. The officer arrived and asked for the windows and the doors be closed to minimize the noise.
