Welsh Heritage Day is an annual event held by Black Diamond Historical Society at their museum. It is coming up this year on Saturday, June 1. The Puget Sound Welsh Association will be on hand for the program. It is anticipated that they will do as great a job as they have in the past. This year will feature Welsh music, interesting information about Wales as a country, a presentation about the castles in Wales, and a lot of fun. The museum will be open from 11 to 3 on June 1; the program is held from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.
On Wednesday, June 5 is the annual Black Diamond School Reunion. Anyone who has ever attended school in BD is welcome to attend. The event is scheduled at BD Community Center, 11 am to 2 pm. Folks can register online at the website: www.blackdiamondmuseum.org. Click on ‘events’ and then click ‘school reunion’. Registration and submitting the $25 lunch payment is also accepted at the door. The reunion is “a great time to visit with classmates from our yesteryears.”
