Black Diamond Police Reports

5-18-2024 to 6-5-2024

On 05/18/2024, at approximately 23:20 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop at the 32700 block of Railroad AVE. After an investigation, officers discovered that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The driver was arrested for DUI and booked into the Enumclaw Jail.

On 5/19/2024, an officer located a subject on property they were not allowed on. The property owner was contacted and a trespass notice was issued. The subject was notified they were not allowed back on the property.

On 5/19/2024, Officers were dispatched to a Fire assist in the 24300 block of Roberts DR. It was reported multiple individuals were outside at an abandonedlocation standing around the bonfire. Officers arrived on scene and determined the individuals were legally at the location. Fire arrived on scene and determined the burn was legal. Officers cleared the scene.

On 05/20/2024, police were requested for a civil standby in the 31600 block of 3rd AVE. The reporting person wanted to gain entry into a building he was leasing on 03/22/2024 and wanted police to be present.

On 05/21/2024, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired registration. Officers discovered that the vehicle had been sold and the title had not been transferred within 45 days. Officers issued the driver a criminal citation for the offense.

On 5/21/24 at 2219 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was dispatched to the 22870 block of SE Fir St. for a report of a recently stolen vehicle. Officer’s arrived on scene and spoke with the registered owner who stated he drove his vehicle just a few hours prior to the theft. Officer’s filled a vehicle theft report form out with the registered owner and entered the stolen vehicle into the law enforcement database. Officer’s cleared the scene.

On 05/22/24, officers were dispatched to an admin detail regarding a Black Diamond Police Department Warrant subject that had been previously booked into Enumclaw jail. Enumclaw jail staff advised that the inmate was complaining of chest pain and would need to be brought to the hospital. Officers met the jail staff and inmate at the hospital while they were medically evaluated, then transferred them to SCORE jail.

On 05/27/2024, an Officer located a stolen vehicle at the 24400 block of Morgan St. The vehicle was recovered and two subject that were with the vehicle were arrested for active arrest warrants. One of the subjects was booked into SCORE jail. The other was declined by King County Jail due to medical issues.

On 05/27/24, officers were dispatched to an admin detail requesting warrant confirmation for a Black Diamond warrant regarding a subject that had been contacted by the Algona Police Department. Officer confirmed the warrant and met Algona police officers to transfer custody of the subject. Officers transported the subject to Issaquah jail for booking.

On 05/27/2024 at approximately 1916 hours, officers were dispatched to the 32000 block of McKay Lane, in reference to a suspicious vehicle in the area. Upon arrival the vehicle described was seen leaving area. It was discovered the registered owner of the vehicle’s license was suspended. The vehicle was stopped and it was discovered the passenger was protected from the driver by an active protection order. The driver was taken into custody and booked for Driving while License Suspended 3rd Degree and Violation of a Protection Order.

On 5/29/24 Officers were dispatched to a request for a citizen assistance at Free Up Storage, located at 30460 3rd Ave. A citizen advised they had been locked inside the gate and their code was no longer working to exit the facility. An officer contacted the citizen, verified his identity, assigned storage unit number and assisted with exiting the facility.

On 5/31/2024, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 24400 block of Morgan St. The officer found the registration for the vehicle had expired in 2019, thedriver did not have insurance, the driver had a suspended license, and the driver had a warrant for their arrest from Auburn. The driver was cited for the various violations and arrested for the warrant. The subject was booked into SCORE Jail by Auburn Police.

On 06/02/2024, at approximately 04:25 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop at the 32800 block of Railroad AVE. After an investigation, officers determinedthat the driver was impaired by alcohol and/or drugs. The driver was arrested and booked into SCORE Jail for DUI. **********

On 06-05-24, at approximately 07:06 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding an abandoned homemade wooden trailer atSE Ten Trails PKWY and Calla Lilly LN. Officers arrived at the location and located the homemade wooden structure in the middle of the road. The back of the structure was full of trash. There were no license plates or a vehicle identification number on the structure. Royal Towing declined to take custody of the structure and the Black Diamond Public Works were notified and removed the wooden trailer from the location to be taken to the dump.

On 06-05-24, at approximately 08:14 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a request for a welfare check. Officers wereinformed that a female was seen asleep in her running Chevrolet Express in the parking lot of the Village at Ten Trails. Officers arrived and located the female who stated that she was homeless and found the parking lot to sleep. Officers provided the subject with information on resources she could obtain from the Black Diamond Community Center as well as safe places to park her vehicle to sleep.
