Seattle Times asks readers each year to vote for “Bests in the Pacific Northwest.” Topics can range from best restaurants or memory care to best libraries, parks, and pubs. Year 2024 saw Black Diamond Museum receive Peoples’ Choice Award for Best Museum in the PNW. The now-famous museum is open to visitors on Thursdays at 9:00 am until 2:00 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The Museum will soon host speaker Zach Pratt and a friend from his college graduate program, Sun Gorman. Gorman, originally from North Carolina, and Pratt will present “Appalachian vs. Black Diamond Coal”on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 1:00-2:00 pm. Museum presentations are free and open for anyone to attend.
