On Wednesday, 08/01/2018, at about 5 p.m. on the 23200 block of SE 312th Street, an officer responded to a complaint of illegally parked vehicles. The officer made contact with the owners, requested they move their vehicles and instructed them on the parking ordinance.

On Thursday, 08/02/18, at approximately 11:33 a.m. on Railroad Ave, officers received a call regarding an incendiary device at a business. Officers arrived and found that someone had donated numerous dynamite blasting caps inside a glass jar. The blasting caps were extremely old and corroded. Officers contacted a Bomb Squad who responded to the scene and detonated device without incident.

On Sunday, 08/05/18, at approximately 07:57 hours, officers responded to an agency assist for Enumclaw Police Department regarding a domestic violence call. Officers arrived and Enumclaw Police arrested the suspect.

On Sunday, 8/5/2018, around 3 p.m. on the 21500 block of Covington Sawyer Road, an officer conducted a traffic stop. The driver was cited criminally for driving while license suspended 3rd degree, and the vehicle was impounded. The driver was released from the scene.

On Sunday, 8/5/2018, about 6:40 p.m. an officer was dispatched to sounds of gunshots being fired in the area of Roberts Drive and 3rd Avenue. During the area check the officer was flagged down by a citizen who had home video surveillance of the incident that showed shots being fired from a white, older four-door, sedan driving westbound. Three .40 caliber shell casings were located on the side of the road, which were seized as evidence. Information on the shooting was provided to neighboring police agencies, and all local hospitals were called as well. At this time there are no victims reporting injury or damage to their property.

On Monday, 08/06/2018, about 9:45 p.m. on 236thAve SE, a resident called to advise that a bear had entered her back yard and damaged a chicken coop, killing several chickens. A report was taken and the matter forwarded to King County Animal Control.

On Tuesday, 08/07/18, at approximately 2:39 p.m., officers received a call regarding a welfare check. Officers were asked to check on the welfare of an employee living on 3rdAve in Black Diamond that had not reported to work in three days. Officers located the female employee at her residence and she claimed that she quit her job three days earlier.

On Thursday, 08/09/2018, an officer responded to the 23500 block of SE 299th Street for the report of the theft of two saw horses valued at $50 that happened sometime between 7:30 a.m. 9 a.m. The suspect was located and arrested for Theft 3. The suspect was cited and released and the property was returned to the owner.

On Friday, 08/10/18, at approximately 6:51 p.m., Black Diamond Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 32600 block of 3rd Ave. Through investigation officers determined the driver of the vehicle, a 47 year old male, was DUI. Officers arrested the driver and booked him into the Enumclaw Jail.

On Sunday, 08/12/2018, officers stopped a vehicle about midnight in the 28000 block of 216thAve SE, for an equipment violation. Upon contacting the occupants, it was discovered that there was a valid no contact order in place between the two. The violating party was booked into King County Jail for Felony Order Violation.

On Sunday, 08/12/2018, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 24400 block of Terrace Place around 6:30 p.m., regarding a report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival officers were able to locate and recover what appeared to be a stolen vehicle. An investigation is ongoing.
