Today around 2:45 a Maple Valley deputy as patrolling the strip mall area near Wax Rd and Maple Valley HWY. The deputy drove around to the back alley and saw a vehicle being driven recklessly. The deputy turned his lights on to stop the car and the driver rammed the police car repeatedly. The driver then fled on foot and ran to a wooded area near McDonalds across the street. He was apprehended within a short amount of time.
He is a 36 year old Renton man and will be booked into the King County Jail for Felony Assault and Felony Hit and Run. The deputy suffered a wrist injury during the ramming. He was treated at Covington Medical Center ER.
Update man was just release from prison and now he is going back!
