Black Diamond Police Reports

On Wednesday, 06/01/2022 Officers responded to the 29000 block of SR 169 in order to assist King County Deputies with a search for a missing individual thought to be on the bike trails. The subject was not located after a search of the area.

On 06/01/2022 Officers assisted the Enumclaw Police Department at the scene of a recovered stolen vehicle. Two suspects were detained without incident and later released with charges to be forwarded to the Prosecutor for review.

On 06-01-22, at approximately 09:52 hours, Officers were contacted by a female at the Black Diamond Police Department to report a theft of her red and black chain saw.  The female stated that she last saw the chain saw in her basement of her home approximately one year ago. She discovered it missing on 05-13-22 and her son has keys to the basement of which he stores his belongings.  The female confronted her son about the chain saw and he denied taking it.

On 06-02-22, at approximately 12:08 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding unwanted subjects at a residence in the 31000 block of 229th AVE SE. Officers were informed that the tenants of the residence had been evicted and and returned to the property without permission. Officers arrived and spoke with the tenants who provided documentation that a legal eviction had not been completed. The owner of the property was contacted by telephone and informed that legal eviction paperwork from the King County Superior Court needed to be served to the tenants before they would be required to leave.

On 06/02/2022 Officers were dispatched to the 22900 block of SE Evergreen ST in regard to a complaint of children running in a nearby park. Officers conducted an area check and located two juveniles playing basketball on a basketball court.

On 6/3/2022, an officer responded to the 31100 block of 3rd Ave for a 911 hang up. The officer contacted the subject and found they were attempting to report an incident that occurred prior in another jurisdiction. The officer referred the subject to the appropriate jurisdiction.

On 06-03-22, at approximately 15:54 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a suspicious circumstance in the 29200 block of 218th PL SE.  Officers were informed that a subject called 911 to report that a male subject was using a screwdriver to open the driver’s door to a vehicle. The reporting person did not provide a description of the subject or vehicle. Officers arrived and were unable to locate anyone trying to open a car door to a vehicle.

On 06/03/2022 Officers were flagged down by an individual in the 28800 block of 216th AVE SE who wanted to report a possible assault. The incident had occurred outside of city limits, and Deputies from the King County Sheriff’s Department arrived on scene to conduct an investigation.

On 06/04/2022 Officers assisted the Enumclaw Police Department at the scene of asingle vehicle collision in the 24400 block of McDougal AVE.

On 6/4/2022, an officer received a report of an item lost in the 29000 block of 216 Ave SE. A special needs child dropped a tablet they use to communicate. Video surveillance shows an unidentified subject pick up the tablet and leave the area. Officers have been unable to identify who took the tablet.

On 06-04-22, at approximately 18:15 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding an unsecured building in the 24300 block of Roberts DR.  Officers were advised that the owner of the vacant building found the door to the building open. Officers arrived and found no one inside. The owner walked through the building and found nothing missing or out of order.

On 6/5/2022, an officer received a call regarding a dispute that occurred in the 29200 block of 232 Ave SE. The reporting party was confronted and accused of driving recklessly. The reporting party denied even driving past the other subjects residence. No crime was reported. The reporting party did not want the officer to contact the other party.

On 6/5/2022, an officer responded to the 32600 block of 3rd Ave for an unwanted subject. The officer found the subject was intoxicated and wanted to use a phone to call a family member to pick him up. The officer contacted the subjects family and they picked him up.

On 6/9/2022, an officer was dispatched to the 23600 block of Tahoma PL for a subject walking in the neighborhood acting suspicious. An area check was conducted, but the subject was unable to be located. No criminal activity discovered.

Time Occurred between:  17:30:00 06/08/22 – 17:30:00 06/09/22 

On 06-09-22, at approximately 18:16 hours, I received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a malicious mischief to a vehicle window. Officers contacted the reporting person who stated that the front driver’s side window of her mother’s vehicle was broken.  It appeared that something hard struck the window, causing it to break. The reporting person reviewed the video from her surveillance camera and were unable to see anyone damage the window.

On 06/09/2022 Officers were dispatched to the 30700 block of 224th AVE SE in regard to a report of the sounds of a possible illegal discharge. Officers conducted an area check with nothing found.

On 6/11/2022, Officers were dispatched to a party complaint in the 24700 block of Mason ST. The reporting party advised the unit was an Airbnb with a limit of five individuals. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the individual who rented the home. Officers advised the subject of the Airbnb agreement and requested everyone leave. The subject agreed to have everyone leave. Officers contacted the property owner and advised her of the results.

On 06/11/2022, Officers were dispatched to a party complaint in the 32500 block of Mckay LN. Officers arrived on scene and could hear multiple individuals in the backyard of the residence yelling, laughing, and making noise unreasonable for the hour. Officers contacted the homeowner and instructed him to turn off the music and have everyone quiet down. He agreed to do so and officers cleared the scene.

On 6/12/2022, Officers were dispatched to a party complaint in the 32500 block of Mckay LN. Upon arrival officers could hear music and the sounds of raised voices coming from the backyard of the residence. Officers contacted the homeowner and advised him of Black Diamond Municipal Code in relation to noise. The subject advised he would turn off the music and have everyone come inside.
