City to host Lake Wilderness Lodge Art Exhibition artist’s reception for artist Emily White

The City of Maple Valley is hosting an artists’ reception for local artist Emily White at the Lake Wilderness Lodge Art Exhibition space. The public is invited to the Lake Wilderness Lodge, 22500 248th Street, Maple Valley, for the reception to meet the featured artist on Thursday, February 6, from 7:00
p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Sponsored by the city’s Public Arts Commission, the exhibition features the artwork of multiple artists and pieces are rotated quarterly.

Emily has found that making art is the best way to demonstrate to others how she sees the world. She enjoys capturing shapes, colors, textures, and exploring different materials. Her focus of late has been watercolor; however, oil painting has always been her favorite medium. She has traveled throughout the state, which provided her with inspiration that transfers well into her illustrations.
