GMVUAC: March Monthly Meeting Announcement

The Greater Maple Valley Unincorporated Area Council (GMVUAC) will hold its first monthly meeting of the new year on Monday, March 2, from 7:00 to 9:30 PM at the Maple Valley Fire Station (SE corner of SE 231st St / SR-169 intersection across from the Sheriff’s Precinct).

Members of the public are always welcome to attend and can address the Area Council on any local issue during an Open Comment period at the start of each meeting.

Your Area Council represents and advocates for unincorporated Rural Area residents living in the Tahoma School District on many issues to King County (our local government), the Puget Sound Regional Council (the four-county regional planning organization), and the State. Officials from each often address members of the public and the Area Council at its monthly meetings.

The Area Council has three subject-matter Committees: Environment, Growth Management, and Transportation, as well as an AdHoc Economic Development Committee. Please see the Committee drop-down menus at: www.gmvuac.org. The Area Council currently has some open seats and, if you would like to be considered for Area Council membership, please either attend an Area Council monthly meeting and express your interest or send an e-mail to: info@gmvuac.org.
