Patricia Carolyn Chadwick Doersch Passed Away

Patricia Carolyn Chadwick Doersch

1942-2020

On Feb. 3, 2020 Pat passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones in presence and in spirit.  She was born the 3rd child of Kelley and Helen Chadwick in Salt Lake City, UT on Feb. 11, 1942.

The family moved to Ohio and then to Richfield Springs, NY where she was an award winning debater and Honor Graduate of the high school.  She studied chemistry at Oregon State University, and met her companion for life, Donald Doersch; they married in 1969.

Pat thus became family with Don’s children – Rick, Mike, Kathy and her sister-in-law Pat (all of whom survive her).  She moved to Maple Valley, WA with Don and they built a beautiful home where they lived the rest of their lives.

Pat earned a B.S. in Business Administration from UW, worked in multiple industries in financial management, earned her CPA and CFP certificates, and had her own successful tax and business practice from 1984-2016.  Pat was a dedicated election volunteer in Hobart, WA, loved all children, her pets, garden, stained glass, banks, and the joy of showing you a slug up close.

She is also survived by her siblings Leigh, Susan, Tom and their families, the families of Don’s children (Doersch and Peterson), her god child Leah, good girlfriends, client and other friends and her cat Little Face.

A gathering in her honor will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Maple Valley Grange,  22531 SE 218th, Maple Valley from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the helpful folks at Puget Sound Fire Department (24611 116th Ave. SE, Kent, WA 98030) or Kaiser Hospice (201 16th Ave East, CHM-C140, Seattle, WA  98112-9905).
