Black Diamond Police Reports 2-24 to 3-1-2020

On 2-24-2020, at approximately 0416 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a burglary report in the 31400 block of 3rd AVE. This is currently under investigation.

On 2/24/2020, at about 1006 hours an officer was dispatched to the 31108 3rd AVE on a parking complaint. It was reported a truck was blocking the complaint’s driveway. Upon arrival the truck was gone but the officer contacted a resident at the house and advised them to not block the driveway.

On 02-25-2020, at approximately 07:02 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a theft from motor vehicle. Officers were informed that a female wanted to report that items were stolen from her vehicle over night.  Officers arrived at the residence and contacted the female who informed the Officers that she left her vehicle unlocked and someone removed numerous items from it.  There is no suspect information.

On 02-25-2020, at approximately 09:08 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a telephone report for a theft from motor vehicle. Officers were informed that a male wanted to report that someone opened up the door to his vehicle and rummaged through items overnight. Officers called the subject who stated that nothing was missing from his vehicle. He also stated that he left his vehicle unlocked. There is no suspect information.

On 2/25/2020, an officer responded to the 31100 block of 3rd Ave to confirm the VIN on a vehicle that had been impounded. The officer located and confirmed the VIN.

On 2/25/2020, an officer received a report of a theft from a vehicle that occurred in the 31100 block of 3rd Ave. Currently there are no leads or suspects.

On 2/25/2020 an officer assisted a business with retrieving property from a residence in the 32300 block of 3rd Ave.

On 02-26-2020, at approximately 11:33 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a welfare check. Officers were advised that a female called to report that a confused elderly male walked into her house, believing it was his house. When he figured out that it was not his house, he left the residence. Officers conducted an area check for the subject with negative results.

On 2/26/2020, an officer working court security witnessed a subject who was at location for court drive a motor vehicle. The subject had a suspended drivers license. The officer arrested the subject who was released after being seen by the judge.

On 02-26-2020, at approximately 13:59 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a civil standby at Royal Towing of Black Diamond. Officers were advised that a female was trying to take her vehicle out of the impound lot without paying her towing bill. Officers arrived and spoke with the owner who stated that the vehicle owner paid her bill and no other assistance was needed.

On 02-26-2020, at approximately 15:01 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding two suspicious people walking from house to house on Merino ST.  Officers were informed that the two subjects had badges on lanyards around their necks. Officers conducted an area check with negative results.

On 02/26/2020, at approximately 1948 hours, Black Diamond Officer responded to the 31400 block of 3rd Avenue in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the complainant who stated a suspicious person was seen riding a bicycle through the area earlier that day at approximately 1700 hours. No crime was witnessed and the suspicious person is unknown.

On 02-27-2020, at approximately 0050 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the 22800 block of Roberts DR. Upon stopping the vehicle it was determined that the juvenile driver did not have a valid drivers license. The driver was issued an infraction for no valid operator’s license with ID and released to a guardian. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

On 02-27-2020, at approximately 10:26 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a traffic collision. Officers were informed that a subject was backing his trailer through a parking lot in the 31600 block of 3rd AVE.  The driver backed into an elderly male subject who was walking across the parking lot. The victim was transported to the hospital for a possible hip injury.

On 02-28-2020, at approximately 2213 hours, officers were dispatched to a welfare check near the 24700 block of Mason ST. The reporting party advised the her boyfriend was suicidal and she did not know where he was. Officers attempted to locate the subject and advised neighboring agencies of the description of him and his vehicle. After being unable to locate the subject he was entered in WACIC/NCIC as a missing person.

On 02/29/2020, at approximately 1718 Hours, Black Diamond Officers responded to Ten Trails (Roberts Dr and Willow Ave SE) in reference to a silver Sports Utility vehicle swerving all over the roadway. The vehicle was last seen driving south on Willow Ave SE. A search was done for the vehicle; however, it was not located.

On Sunday, 03/01/2020, Officers were dispatched to the 30700 block of 229th PL SE in regard to a report of property damage. Officers determined that a resident was making repairs to their landscaping and no crime had been committed.

On 3-1-2020, at approximately 2125 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a suspicious subject in the 29700 block of 226th AVE SE. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the individual. Officers learned the subject had a lawful reason to be on the property and cleared the scene.
