Black Diamond Police Reports 3-9 to 3-15, 2020

On Monday, 03/09/2020, Officers were dispatched to the 23900 block of Roberts DR in regard to a report of harassment of a postal worker. Upon arrival, Officers were able to determine that no crime had been committed. Officers spoke with both parties regarding the matter being civil in nature.

On 3/9/20202, at about 1350 hours, Officers were dispatched and responded to the 32600 block of Willow AVE on the report of a semi-trailer that was parked on private property slotted to be under construction. Officers were unable to locate the owner of the trailer but advised the caller of their options.

On 3-9-2020, at approximately 2024 hours, Black Diamond Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 32500 block of 3rd AVE. Officers determined the driver’s license status was suspended/revoked 3rd degree. Officers issued the subject a criminal citation for driving while license suspended in the 3rd degree. The vehicle was removed from the scene and impounded by Royal Towing.

On 03-10-2020, at approximately 10:00 hours, Officers stopped a Chevrolet box truck at 3150 3rd AVE because the driver was using his cell phone while driving. The driver was issued a criminal citation for driving while license suspended third degree and was later released at the scene.

On 3/10/2020 an officer confirmed a Black Diamond arrest warrant for the King County Sheriff’s Office. KCSO agreed to transport the suspect and book him directly into the Enumclaw Jail.

On 3/10/2020, an officer on patrol in the 29200 block of 232 AVE SE located subjects walking in and out of a home under construction at 10pm. Due to the late hour, Officers contacted the subjects. It was determined the subjects were in fact working and allowed to be at the location.

On 3/11/2020 an officer was dispatched to a civil issue to be handled by phone. The reporting party was advised that the dispute over a tree on the property line needed to handled civilly.

On 03-12-2020, at approximately 0208 hours, officers were dispatched to the 23000 block of SE 288th ST for a report of an occupied suspicious vehicle. When officers arrived they contacted the driver and found no crime had occurred. The driver was allowed to leave the scene.

On 03-12-2020, at approximately 0245 hours, officers were dispatched to the 30700 block of 224th AVE SE for a recently abandoned vehicle. When officers arrived, they located a totaled abandoned vehicle left on the shoulder of the roadway. Auburn Police Department checked the registered owner’s address but were unable to locate her. The vehicle was impounded.

On 03-12-2020, at approximately 10:20 hours, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 22800 block of Roberts DR for speeding. The driver was issued a criminal citation for driving while license suspended/revoked in the second degree and was later released at the scene.

On 03-13-2020, at approximately 06:27 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a two vehicle collision at Roberts DR & Willow AVE SE. Officers arrived and found that a vehicle traveling east on Roberts DR failed to grant the right of way to a vehicle traveling west on Roberts DR in the round-a-bout and was struck.  After the vehicle was struck, it was pushed into a light pole. There were no injuries.

On Friday, 03/13/2020, Officers began an investigation into an incident in a construction zone located in the 22800 block of SE 288th. This case, involving a vehicle failing to yield to flaggers and driving recklessly through the construction area, is being investigated as possible Reckless Endangerment of Roadway Workers.

On 3/15/2020, at about 1805 hours, an officer was dispatched to a phone report regarding a dog that was given rat poison. The complainant who resides in the 32300 block of Botts DR. reported that her dog was inside the fence when an unknown person provided the dog rat poisoning. The dog was taken to the vet and is recovering. Officers conducted an area check for possible suspects and did not locate anyone.
