Black Diamond Police Reports 6-22 to 29, 2020

On 06/22/2019 officers responded to do a civil standby in the 22000 block of SE 288th Street to retrieve keys for the reporting party’s personal vehicle from her son. The standby was completed without incident.

On 06/22/2020, the Black Diamond responded to the 30700 block of 229th PL SE in reference to a paper service. Upon arrival, a reissuance of temporary order for protection and notice of hearing was served.

On 6/24/2020, an officer was dispatched to confirm a Black Diamond Warrant for a subject who was in the custody of Auburn PD. The warrant was confirmed and the officer met Auburn PD at the Park and Ride located at Auburn Black Diamond Rd/HWY 18. The suspect was booked into the Enumclaw Jail without incident.

On 6/24/2020, an officer responded to the 32400 block of Botts Drive for a report of a vehicle that was stuck after trespassing on private property. The officer determined the vehicle was actually on State Parks property. A State Parks Ranger responded and the vehicle was removed after the driver was cited for driving off-road.

On Wednesday, 06/24/2020, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 21200 block of SE Covington Sawyer RD for a traffic violation. Subsequent investigation determined that the driver had a license status of Suspended in the Third Degree. The driver was cited and released at the scene.

On Friday, 06/26/2020, Officers were dispatched to a park in the 32600 block of Hemlock AVE SE in regard to a noise complaint. Officers contacted local residents in the park who agreed to lower the volume of their music.

On 6/26/2020, at about 1448 hours, an Officer contacted a citizen who was concerned about a bush that was blocking the view of vehicles entering onto Lawson ST from 6th AVE. The Officer checked the area and located the bush. The bush was not blocking the view of motorist.

On 06/26/2020, at 2209 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was dispatched to a fireworks call at the 33000 block of Glacier Ave SE. Upon arrival, the problem was resolved.

On Saturday, 06/27/2020, Officers responded to the 28600 block of Black Diamond Ravensdale RD SE to assist Deputies from the King County Sheriff’s Department with a report of a residential burglary in progress. Upon arrival Officers were able to determine that a bear had broken into garbage cans.

On 6/27/2020, an officer was dispatched to the 32700 block of 1st AVE regarding an abandon unlicensed vehicle. Upon arrival, the owner of the vehicle also arrived on scene. The owner reported that the vehicle had transmission problems. The vehicle was tagged with a 24 hour removal notice, giving the owner an opportunity to remove the vehicle.

On 06-27-2020, at approximately 1932 hours, officers were dispatched to provide transport by boat to the Mountain View Fire Department to a fire on an island on Lake Sawyer. Officers provided transport via boat to fire personnel who extinguished the fire. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 06/27/2020, at approximately 2123 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department responded to the 23200 block of 298th Ave in reference to a fireworks call. Upon arrival, it was determined that the fireworks were coming from a location west of the city limits.

On 06-27-2020, at approximately 2211 hours, officers were dispatched to the 32400 block of 5th AVE for a report of a physical domestic in progress and that one of the subjects had driven off. Officers located the vehicle and upon investigating at the scene determined there was probable cause to arrest the suspect for Malicious Mischief 3rd, Exposing Children to DV, Carrying a Concealed Pistol Without a Permit, and DWLS 3rd Degree. He was booked into Enumclaw Jail.
