Black Diamond Report June 29 to July 5, 2020

On 6-29-2020, at approximately 0640 hours, Black Diamond Officers received a voicemail requesting information related to an incident reported to have occurred on 6-24-2020. Officers contacted the reporting party and learned the incident was handled and being investigated by King County Sheriff’s Office. Officers advised the reporting party to contact King County Sheriff’s Office for updates and information regarding the incident.

On 06-30-2020, at approximately 0145 hours, officers responded an agency assist the 2000 block of James ST in Enumclaw to provide backing units to Enumclaw Police Department for a possible burglary in progress. Officers found the residence to be sure and clear. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 06-30-2020, a approximately 1743 hours, officers were dispatched to an agency assist for Enumclaw PD near the 28700 block of SE 440th ST to aid in traffic control for a motor vehicle collision. Upon the roadway being clear, officers cleared the call and returned to the city.

On 6/30/2020 an officer was in the 40000 block of 264 Ave SE when he came across a collision. The officer provided traffic control while the King County Sheriffs Office investigated the collision and the Enumclaw Fire Department provided aid to the injured parties.

On Thursday, 07/02/2020, Officers were contacted at a business in the 29000 block of 216th AVE SE by an individual who reported a theft of items from a boat in storage. An investigation is ongoing into the theft.

On 7-3-2020, at approximately 0934 hours, Black Diamond Officers were contacted by a homeowner regarding a suspicious subject on their property. Officers contacted the subject and learned the property line between the homes was in dispute and he was building a fence. Officers advised the homeowner of the issue and cleared the scene.

On 7/3/2020, Officers were dispatched to the 29000 block of 218th AVE SE regarding fireworks. Officers arrived in the area and spoke with several neighbors who believed the fireworks came from west of 216th AVE SE, which is the City of Kent and outside Black Diamond city limits. Officers stayed in the area for a while and then cleared the area.

On Saturday, 07/04/2020 Officers responded to a business in the 700 block of Stevenson AVE in regard to a request for assistance from the Enumclaw Police Department with a commercial burglary in progress. Officers assisted with establishing a perimeter while the building was searched.

On 7-4-2020, at approximately 1053 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint of road rage in the 32600 block of 3rd AVE. The involved vehicles were reportedly traveling northbound. Officers responded to the area and conducted an area check for a vehicle and driver matching the description provided by the reporting party. Officers did not locate the vehicle and cleared the scene.

On 7-4-2020, at approximately 1358 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to the 28800 block of 223rd LN SE for a suspicious subject in a Honey Bucket portable restroom. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the individual who was still inside. The subject willingly identified himself and advised officers he was in the process of using the restroom. After the subject exited the restroom officers questioned him briefly and determined there was insufficient evidence to detain the subject for further investigation. Officers cleared the scene. The reporting party was contacted per his request and advised of the results.

On 07-04-2020, at approximately 1855 hours, officers were flagged down by a subject near the 24300 block of Roberts DR. Upon running the subjects name he was briefly detained due to suspicion that he had a felony warrant. It was later determined that there was a mistake in WACIC/NCIC and the subject was released, as he did not have a felony warrant.

On 07/05/2020, at approximately 0251 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department responded to a citizen assist at the 23200 block of SE 312 St. Persons and their vehicle’s were locked inside the Lake Sawyer Regional Park. Nobody was in the City that had a key to the Gate and thus the lock was broken so the people could leave.

On 07-05-2020, at approximately 1957 hours, officers on-viewed a large fire in a clear-cut area near the 31000 block of 3rd AVE. Fire personnel were called to extinguish the fire and a King County Sheriff’s Office Fire Investigator assumed the investigation. Officers cleared the scene without incident.
