Black Diamond Police Reports July 6 to 12, 2020

On 7-6-2020, at approximately 1041 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a non-injury, non-blocking, single vehicle accident in the 23200 block of Roberts DR. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the driver of the involved vehicle. She stated at the direction of the flagger for the construction zone she backed up and hit the curb which caused a scratch to the rim of her vehicle. Officers provided her with a case number and the name of the company which was flagging for the construction. Officers cleared the scene.

On 07/06/20, at approximately 1254 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to the 32800 block of 5th Ave for a report of neighbor dispute/harassment. Officers contacted both parties involved.  One subject was issued a Trespass Letter which they signed. The other subject was given information on how to attain an anti harassment order from the courts.

On 07-07-2020, at approximately 12:15 hours, three vehicles were involved in a traffic collision at 32600 3rd AVE. No one was injured and one of the vehicles needed to be towed away from the scene.

On 07-07-2020, at approximately 14:39 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a possible hit and run accident in the 30400 block of Kummer AVE. Officers arrived and spoke with the reporting person who believed he saw a Ford F250 pickup strike the side of a parked Ford Focus and then drive away. Officers spoke with the owner of the parked vehicle who stated that they do not believe their vehicle was struck because there was no damage anywhere on the vehicle. The owner of the vehicle stated that she did not want to file a police report.

On 7/9/2020, at about 1308 hours, Officers were contacted regarding a civil matter involving a landlord and his tenants. The Officers assisted the complainant by contacting the residence located in the 32200 block of 3rd AVE. While at the residence, the tenant arrived and spoke with the landlord in person. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 7/9/2020, at about 1901 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 23700 block of Adams ST regarding a suspicious female looking through the front door window of a residence. Upon arrival, the complainant stated the female went into her neighbor’s house. Upon contacting the neighbor, it was reported that the female was a guest who was confused as to which house she was going to after returning from the park. No crime occurred during this incident.

On 07-10-2020, at approximately 14:01 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a three vehicle collision at 32600 3rd AVE. 

Officers responded and contacted the driver’s of all three vehicles. The driver’s were provided with an information exchange form to provide to their insurance companies. None of the driver’s were injured and the Officers cleared the scene at approximately 16:00 hours.

On 7-10-2020, at approximately 1530 hours, Black Diamond Officers responded to a reported accident in the 33100 block of 3rd AVE. Fire personnel were already on scene. State Patrol arrived on scene and handled the collision report. Black Diamond Officers assisted with traffic control until Fire personnel and Tri-Med cleared the scene.

On Friday, July 10, 2020, At about 1634 hours, Officers were flagged down in the parking lot of the station by a subject who wanted to turn over loose shot gun shells for destruction. Officers took custody of the shells and booked them into evidence for destruction.

On 7/11/2020 officers discovered the solar powered speed radar sign was missing from the 29800 block of 224th AVE SE. This case is under investigation.

On 7/11/2020 officers were investigating a missing person incident when they contacted a male subject at the 76 Gas Station in the 31500 block of 3rd AVE. During their contact with the subject they learned that the male was actively violating a DV No Contact Order at the time. He was arrested for that charge. During a search incident to arrest approximately 3 grams of heroin was found in the suspect’s pants pocket. Felony VUCSA charges will be filed with the King County Prosecutor’s Office at a later date.

On 07-12-2020, at approximately 1917 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the 31100 block of 3rd AVE for a registration violation. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver of the vehicle had a suspended driving status and one of the passengers had a felony warrant. The driver was cited and released, the passenger was arrested and booked into King County Jail, and the vehicle was impounded.
