Lake Wilderness Beach Park Re-opens

The City of Maple Valley Parks and Recreation Department announces that the beach at Lake Wilderness Park has re-opened and “beach-closed” signs were removed on Thursday, August, 27th.  The beach has been closed to swim activities due to high levels of bacteria detected through King County Public Health’s monitoring program.  The public is advised that there are no lifeguards on duty and swimming in the lake is at your own risk.

In order to keep bacteria out of the water, dogs are not allowed in the water at the beach. Park users are advised not to feed the geese or ducks.  When accompanied by young children, please use high quality swim diapers for those children that require them.  An outdoor shower is available for all patrons at the Beach House.
