Black Diamond Police Reports from Aug. 31 to Sept. 6, 2020

On 8-31-2020, at approximately 0849 hours, Black Diamond Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. Upon contacting the driver Officers learned the driver’s license was revoked in the 1st degree. The vehicle was impounded and the driver was arrested and booked into the Enumclaw Jail.

On 9/1/2020 an officer responded to a harassing phone calls report in the 25100 block of Roberts Drive. A suspect in this case was identified and criminal charges were filed with the Black Diamond Court.

On 09-01-2020, at approximately 2107 hours, near the 32900 block of SE Cottonwood ST, officers served a resident with an out of state protection order. The resident was provided the necessary paperwork and officers cleared the call without incident.

On 09-02-2020, at approximately 2039 hours, officers were dispatched to the 25300 block of Baker ST for a report of loud juveniles at the playground of Black Diamond Elementary. When officers arrived, they made contact with the juveniles and they agreed to leave the area. Officers cleared the call without incident.

On 09-03-2020, at approximately 0122 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop on a recklessly driven vehicle near the 31500 block of 3rd AVE. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver was under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs. He was booked into Enumclaw Jail for reckless driving and DUI.

On 9/3/2020 officers were dispatched to the area of Franlkin DR and Blaine AVE for a juvenile riding a go-kart around the neighborhood at a high rate of speed. An officer contacted the juvenile and explained why he could not ride the go-kart on city streets. The juvenile agreed to put the go-kart away.

On 09/03/2020, at approximately 1554 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was dispatched to a fraud at the 33000 block of Evergreen Ave SE. The complainant was contacted and a fraud investigation was started.

On 09-03-2020, at approximately 2048 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the 31500 block of 3rd AVE. Upon investigation, it was determined that the male driver of the vehicle was the respondent of a no contact order that listed the petitioner as his female passenger. The driver was arrested for violation of a no contact order (DV). The female was released at the scene and the male was booked into Enumclaw Jail.

On 9/4/2020, Officers responded to the 32800 block of Pine Ave for a report of a subject who drove into the neighborhood and was looking at houses. Officers located the subject after he left the neighborhood and contacted him. The subject worked for Instacart and was delivery groceries.

On 9/5/2020, officers responded to the 33100 block of 3rd Ave for a report of an accident. A truck towing a trailer had a tire blow out on the trailer, which caused the truck and trailer to slide into the ditch. There was no property damage. Officers blocked the road while the truck and trailer were removed from the ditch.

9-5-2020, at approximately 1853 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a juvenile problem at the Black Diamond Elementary school. The reporting party complained of multiple children screaming and playing on the swings at the school. Officers made contact with the reporting party and discussed the matter. Officers spoke with the juveniles as well and then cleared the scene.

On 09/06/2020, at approximately 1738 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was dispatched to the 33000 block of Glacier Ave SE in reference to a party complaint/road hazard.  Block party with the street blocked off. Upon arrival, the problem was resolved.

On Sunday, 9/6/2020 at about 2333 hours, Officers were dispatched and responded to the area of 3rd AVE and Park ST. regarding a road hazard. Dispatch advised that it appeared someone threw traffic cones into the roadway. Officers arrived and found four cones across 3rd AVE blocking the south and north bound lanes of traffic. Officers removed the cones and conducted an area check but did not locate anyone in the area.
