Cedar Grange Doughnuts Served

Petite USA Miss Washington, otherwise known as Reilly Graceson Mahoney, also represents her hometown as Miss Hobart. The cordial Miss Washington visited with guests who stopped in at Cedar Grange Hall on the third Sunday of the month.

The date of the next pancake breakfast is not posted on the Cedar Grange welcome sign. That date is still an unknown. However, coffee with doughnuts and fruit are being served the third Sunday of the month in anticipation of a heartier meal when attendance picks up.

The aroma of coffee and hot chocolate is enticing; the array of fruit and doughnuts offer healthy and tempting alternatives to pancakes. The community’s response to the new $5.00 menu has been sparse so far; “regulars” have not yet opted to attend the gathering despite decades of past history. The only way to regain the historic Pancake Breakfast is to support this first step – doughnuts and coffee. Volunteers are also needed to continue the tradition. Without volunteer assistance the Grange cannot return to flipping pancakes.
