Kristin Conklin, Tahoma School District’s amazing K-12 Social Studies Coordinator, was one of only 100 educators invited to the College of William & Mary’s We The Teachers fellowship!
This summer, Kristin will travel to Virginia where she’ll meet with civics/social studies teaching leaders from all 50 states. This program is designed to strengthen history and civics instruction in advance of the United States’ 250th anniversary.
“I believe strong civics instruction invites students not just to learn about democracy, but to practice it,” she said.
