Black Diamond Police Reports from 3-23 to 3-28, 2020

On 3/23/2020, at about 1748 hours, Officers were dispatched and responded to a suspicious vehicle checking mailboxes in the 32700 block of 3rd AVE. Officers located the vehicle in the 32600 block of 3rd AVE. It was determined that no theft occurred, but the driver was cited for violation of a trip permit and will be receiving a citation through the courts. He was released at the scene.

On 3/24/2020 officers were dispatched to a two-car motor vehicle collision in the 32600 block of 3rd Avenue. Officers arrived to find a rear end accident with no injuries. One vehicle was towed from the scene. A WSP Collision report was completed.

On 03-24-2020, at approximately 2030 hours, officers were dispatched to the 33100 block of 3rd AVE SE for a single vehicle rollover collision. Fire personnel evaluated the driver and advised him that he should seek medical care, which he refused. The driver was issued an infraction for speed too fast for conditions as well as operating a motor vehicle without insurance. The vehicle was privately towed and officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 03-25-2020, at approximately 13:02 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding thee subjects violating the social distancing rule at the skate park (25201 Park ST). Officers arrived at the skate park and located one adult female playing baseball with two small children.  Offices advised the adult female that the park was closed. The three subjects then left the park without incident.

On 03-25-2020, at approximately 2037 hours, officers were flagged down near the 22500 block of Roberts DR by a couple that was trying to get their child to a hospital for treatment of a head wound sustained by a fall in The City of Black Diamond. The couple refused ambulance transport and the officers guided the couple to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Enumclaw for treatment. The child was treated and later released from the hospital with a minor head injury.

On 03/25/2020, at 2108 hours, Black Diamond Police Officers were dispatched to a welfare check at the 33000 block of Pacific Place. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female subject who was involuntarily committed.

On 03-26-2020, at approximately 13:42 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a traffic complaint. Officers were advised that the King County Sheriff’s Office called to report that a lowered gold Mercedes with two males onboard were speeding an driving recklessly on 216th AVE SE in front of the Lake Sawyer Store. Officers conducted an area check with negative results.

On 3/26/2020 an officer was contacted by a citizen who lost his wallet. That wallet had been turned in at the Black Diamond Police Station. Arraignments were made to have the wallet mailed to the owner in Michigan.

On Saturday, 03/28/2020, Officers were dispatched to the 30300 block of 224th AVE SE in regard to a report of unwanted subjects trespassing in a business. Officers contacted two individuals and determined that both were the subjects of felony arrest warrants. The individuals were taken into custody and booked into jail.

On 3/28/2020, at about 1417 hours an officer were dispatched to a phone report regarding a domestic dispute that had occurred in the 31000 229th PL SE. The complainant reported that she wanted her adult son to leave her residence and that she had left her residence and would be back later this evening. Both parties were contacted, and son who had DOC restrictions preventing him from being at his mother’s residence was advised to leave and did so.

ON 03/28/2020, AT 1947 hours, Black diamond Officers were dispatched to a malicious mischief at 32800 block of Railroad Ave, Black Diamond Washington 98010. It was found that an unknown suspect placed stickers on lamp posts and a sign.

On 3/28/2020, officers responded to the 31400 block of 3rd Ave for a report of a subject urinating on the door of a business. The subject was observed by the business owner over surveillance video. The subject was contacted by officers and cited for disorderly conduct.
