Black Diamond Police Reports 4-6 to 4-13, 2020

On Monday, 04/06/2020, Officers took a report via phone of a theft of a credit card number which was used to make an online purchase. The card owner contacted his bank and cancelled the card. Pending the development of any suspect information, this case is being placed on inactive status.

On Monday, April 6, 2020, at about 1139 hours, an officer was dispatched to a phone report regarding a vehicle prowl report. The prowl occurred in the 32500 block of Mckay LN. The vehicle was unsecured at the time of the theft and there are no leads or suspects at this time. This case will be placed in inactive status

On Monday, 04/06/2020, at about 1304 hours Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 31100 block of 3rd AVE for a domestic disturbance dispute between two individuals. It was determined that no crime had been committed, and the involved parties were able to come to a resolution. A domestic violence resource guide was provided.

On 04-09-2020, at approximately 09:38 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a civil standby at Royal Towing of Black Diamond. Officers contacted a subject at the tow yard who wanted to remove his driver’s license from his vehicle. Officers observed the subject obtain his driver’s license from the front passenger seat.  Officers verified that the driver’s license belonged to the subject.  Officers then cleared the scene.

On 04-09-2020, at approximately 12:43 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a suspicious vehicle parked at 22400 SE 296th ST.  Officers were informed that a subject parked a gray van on the side of the road and walked into the woods. Officers arrived at the location and were unable to locate the vehicle.

On 04-09-2020, at approximately 15:01 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a traffic complaint. Officers were informed that a female wanted to report that something fell off a dump truck and broke her windshield. Officers arrived and found the windshield broken. The driver had no information on the dump truck and was provided with a case number for her insurance company.

On 4/9/2020 an officer was dispatched to the 32500 block of McKay Lane for a noise complaint. The reporting party advised there were loud sounds of motorcycles riding in the wooded area behind the residence. An area check was conducted with nothing heard.

On Saturday, April 11, 2020, at about 1143 hours an officer was dispatched to a phone report regarding barking dogs in the 29000 220th PL SE. The complaint had contacted The Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC) and was advised to contact the police department first. The responding officer was familiar with the complaint and provided him resources. The complaint advised that it has been an ongoing problem and that the neighbors would be calling as well. The officer responded to the area and located two dogs that were laying down inside their fence and not barking. The officer cleared the scene without incident.

On Saturday, April 11, 2020, at about 1557 hours, officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint regarding a dark blue Toyota Prius being erratically driven in the area of 3rd AVE and Railroad St. The reporting party stated that the vehicle was swerving across the fog and yellow lines. Officers arrived in the area and were unable to locate the vehicle.

On Saturday, April 11, 2020, at about 1709 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to assist The Mountain View Fire Department in the 25400 block of Kanaskat DR regarding an illegal burn. Officers arrived and spoke with the homeowner who allowed the fire department to put out the fire. No one was injured during this incident.

On 4/13/2020, officers were dispatched for a hit and run accident that had occurred overnight. Officers found the collision had actually occurred in the 21500 block of SE 289 PL which is outside city limits in the jurisdiction of the King County Sheriff’s Office. KCSO was notified and the information was passed along.
