Black Diamond Police Reports from May 4 to May 10, 2020

On 05-04-2020, at approximately 2029 hours, officers responded to the 32600 block of 5th AVE regarding a report of a number of subjects with knives making threats to an individual. Upon arrival, it was determined that the subjects with the knives did not exist. Officers found that it was a dispute between family members and no crime had occurred. The parties agreed to stay away from each other and officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 05-05-2020, at approximately 12:24 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding four juveniles shooting an airsoft gun. Officers were advised that an anonymous neighbor called to report that the juveniles were shooting the airsoft gun at objects in their front yard. Officers contacted the anonymous caller on the telephone who stated that they were not shooting the airsoft pellets at her or her property and she did not feel threatened. Officers conducted an area check and found that the juveniles were no longer shooting the airsoft gun in the yard.

On Tuesday, 05/05/2020, Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 23400 block of SE 289th in regard to a report of an individual making suicidal statements. Officers contacted the parties involved and an individual was transported to a medical facility for evaluation.

On 05-05-2020, at approximately 1936 hours, officers responded to the 30400 block of Blaine AVE for a found dog. Officers secured the dog and later located the owner. The dog was returned to its owner and officers cleared the call without incident.

On 05/06/2020, at approximately 1818 hours, Black Diamond Police Department Officers responded to a two vehicle accident at the 31100 block of 3rd Ave. Upon arrival a crash investigation was conducted and collision report was completed.

On May 07, 2020, at approximately 1703 hours, an anonymous source reported a malicious mischief in the ten trails neighborhood. It was reported that Patriot stickers were located and removed from the back side of stop signs in that area

On Thursday, 05/08/2020, Officers were dispatched to the 32400 block of Newcastle DR in regard to a report of fireworks being discharged. Upon arrival, Officers were able to determine that the noise was from south of the city limits, and appeared to be gunshots from the Black Diamond Gun Club.

On 5/7/2020 an officer stopped a vehicle for lane travel violation in the 30500 block of SE Ravensdale Road. The driver was found to be suspended in the 3rd degree with a reckless driving warrant issued by the Maple Valley Police Department. The driver was advised of the warrant and cited for the new driving violation. The vehicle was impounded to Royal Towing and the driver was released at the scene.

On Friday, 05/08/2020, Officers were dispatched to the 30500 block of Cumberland DR in regard to  report of a suspicious person knocking on doors. Officer were able to locate the subject, who had been involved in an earlier incident. Officers provided the subject with transport to Maple valley.

On 5-8-2020, at approximately 1513 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a theft report. Officers contacted the reporting party by phone and learned an item had been stolen from his vehicle which was parked in the 32500 block of 4th AVE. The suspect was captured on surveillance footage in the area but has not been identified at this time.

On Friday, 05/08/2020, Officers stopped a vehicle for a speed violation in the 30000 block of 224th AVE SE. Subsequent investigation determined that the driver had a license status of suspended in the third degree. The driver was cited and released at the scene, and the vehicle released to a licensed driver.

On Saturday, 05/09/2020, Officers assisted King County Sheriffs Department Deputies at the scene of an incident involving persons trespassing on commercial property in the 28600 block of Black Diamond Ravensdale RD. Four juveniles were detained at the scene and released by Deputies to their parents.

On 5-9-2020, at approximately 0724 hours,  Black Diamond Officers were flagged down by a citizen. The subject reported the bike rack attached to his vehicle had been stolen. There were no witnesses and there are no suspects at this time.

On 05-09-2020, at approximately 2335 hours, officers responded to the 24500 block of Morgan ST for a noise complaint. Upon arrival the occupants of the residence agreed to turn down their music and officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 5/10/2020, officers on patrol in the 22500 block of SE 296 ST located a vehicle parked blocking a turn around forcing vehicles to have to back down the roadway. A tow truck was requested but the owner of the vehicle arrived before the vehicle was towed. The owner was admonished over their parking and informed the purpose of the turn around they had blocked.

On 5/10/2020 an officer was requested to deliver a death notification for the Newport Police Department. Contact was made in the 32400 Morgan Drive and the message was delivered.
