Black Diamond Police Reports from Sept. 7 to 12, 2020

On 9-7-2020, at approximately, 0052 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a noise complaint involving a party in the 32500 block of Newcastle DR. Officers made contact with a resident and informed him of Black Diamond Municipal Code 8.12.040. The subject was given a verbal warning and advised to keep the noise down, he stated he would do so.

On 9/7/2020, at about 0226 hours, Officers were dispatched and responded to the Ceder Brook Mobile Homes regarding a suspicious black truck driving in the area with its lights off. Officers arrived and could not locate the vehicle.

On 9-7-2020, at approximately 1818 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a marine complaint on Lake Sawyer involving a jet ski speeding after hours. Officers were able to locate the jet ski and make contact with the female operating it. The operator of the jet ski was cited for multiple violations.

On 9/7/2020, at about 2317 hours, Officers were dispatched and responded to the 31500 block of 3rd AVE regarding trees down and blocking both the north and south bound lane of traffic. While officers were on traffic control a large brush fire occurred east of 3rd Ave and Roberts DR. The Fire Department responded and put out the fire which was mostly black berry bushes. Black Diamond Public Works removed the trees from the roadway. PSE was noticed as well. No one was injured during this incident.

On 09/08/2020, at approximately 1152 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department responded to the 29000 block of 216th Ave SE in reference to a found child. Upon arrival, the child was located and returned home.

On 9-8-2020, at approximately 1831 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle in the 32600 block of Maple AVE SE. The complainant reported a vehicle was driving slowly through the neighborhood and she believed it may be associated with thefts in the area. Officers responded to the area and conducted an area check. Officers were unable to locate a vehicle matching the description.

On 9-8-2020, at approximately 1851 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a road hazard at 216th AVE SE and SE 288th ST. The reporting party advised a stop sign on SE 288th was down and clear of the roadway. Officers responded 

to the location and confirmed the stop sign was down. There was no witnesses or evidence on scene that could identify a suspect. This case is inactive.

On 9/9/2020 an officer took a trespass report by phone. The incident took place on Palmer Coking Coal property behind the gate at Botts Drive and Mountain View Drive. A vehicle was seen on a surveillance camera in the area marked no trespassing. After further investigation it was determined that the vehicle actually had permission to be on the property and no crime occurred.

On 9/11/2020, at about 1921 hours, Black Diamond Officers located an unoccupied stolen vehicle. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Maple Valley on 9/11/2020 at 1125 hours. Officers contacted the owner who then took custody of the vehicle. No arrest was made during this incident.

On Saturday, 09/12/2020, Officers were dispatched to the 32500 block of 3rd AVE in regard to a multiple vehicle collision. No injuries were reported, and a vehicle collision report was filed, with one driver cited.
