Police reports 9-21 to 25-2020

On 9/21/2020 officers responded the south end of Lake Sawyer for a report of a male subject bathing in the nude in the lake. An area check was conducted but no naked people were found.

On 9-20-2020, at approximately 2011 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to the 29000 block of 220th PL SE for a noise complaint involving a barking dog. Officers arrived on scene and observed a dog barking in the area. Officers attempted to contact the homeowner however, they were not home. Officers cleared the scene to handle a separate call. Officers later returned and the barking had stopped.

On 9/21/2020 an officer met with the Kent Police Department in the 15200 block of SE Kent Kangley Road to take custody of a Black Diamond warrant suspect. The suspect was wanted on two separate arrest warrants totaling $15,000.00. The suspect was transported to the Issaquah Jail where he was booked on his warrants.

On 9-22-2020, at approximately 0000 hours, Black Diamond Officers were requested to assist Enumclaw Officers with surveillance of a residence in the 500 block of Hamilton Pl. Enumclaw Police were attempting to catch a subject who was believed to be routinely violating a no contact order. From approximately 0105 hours to 0213 hours Black Diamond Officers provided assistance. The subject was not found to be in the area during that time.

On 09-22-2020, at approximately 10:34 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding found property. Officers were informed that an employee at the Black Bear Outpost found a Sony camcorder in a bag behind the store. Officers took possession of the camcorder and placed it into evidence as found property.

On 09-22-2020, at approximately 13:34 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a parking complaint. Officers were informed that a subject called 911 to report that a blue Honda Accord was parked on Sunny LN and was blocking the southbound lane of travel. Officers were also informed that the parked vehicle had expired tabs from 2018. Officers arrived at the scene and found the vehicle. Officers conducted a routine WACIC/NCIC check on the vehicle and found that the registered owner resided a few blocks away.  Officers attempted to contact the registered owner with negative results. 

The vehicle was impounded by Royal Towing of Black Diamond.

On 9-23-2020, at approximately 0132 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a noise complaint in the Diamond Valley Mobile Home Community. Officers made contact with an individual who was listening to music in a vehicle. The individual was instructed to turn the music off and advised of Black Diamond Municipal Code. The individual complied and officers cleared the scene.

On 09-24-2020, at approximately 07:02 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a assist to the Black Diamond Fire Department.  Officers were informed that the Fire Department were at an abandoned house in the 30600 block of 3rd AVE and a mattress was smoldering outside of the residence. Officers arrived and contacted the Fire Department personnel who were spraying water on the smoldering mattress. Officers contacted the real estate company who is selling the property to inform them of the incident.

On 09-25-2020, at approximately 0018 hours, officers contacted a suspicious person near the 30700 block of 3rd AVE. In speaking to the subject, officers noticed a large knife concealed under his clothing. The subject was arrested, at which point they located drug paraphernalia on his person. The subject was later booked into Enumclaw Jail for furtively carrying a dangerous weapon as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.

On 9/25/2020, an officer received a report of a vehicle driving recklessly in the 23900 block of Roberts Drive. The reporting party was unable to see who was driving the vehicle. The officer arrived in the area and found the vehicle parked at a nearby residence. The officer attempted contact at the residence but there was no response. The officer was later able to contact the registered owner of the vehicle who stated she was not home and one of her sons must have been driving the vehicle. The parent agreed to handle the issue with her son.
